"Lucifer" came out in 2010, more than 10 years ago, so this was just the look that a lot of MVs had back then. Just take a look at TVXQ, Super Junior, Infinite or 2PM MV, etc. from around that time and you will see a similar look and style. SHINee was setting trends in the industry with 'Lucifer." LOL I am happy you actually appreciate the uniqueness of their hairstyles and outfits. I'm not sure why people are often so thrown by their hairstyles and outfits in this MV. :D I think they are actually all pretty cool for doing something different that sets them apart from everyone else in the industry. And that is what makes SHINee legends and why "Lucifer" is such an iconic song and dance.You're not going to remember a group or a song if they look and sound the same as everyone else, you remember them for standing out and not being afraid to be unique. In the MV the boys don't have superpowers, but the "smoke" or "light trail" you see is supposed to represent the aura of a girl who has devilish powers like Lucifer, who is trying to possess them and take over their lives. As the English lyrics say "Loveaholic, robotronic ... her whisper is the Lucifer." (They are using auto tune because they are supposed to be "robotronic"-ly controlled by the girl who is "The Lucifer." So the auto tune is meant to make them sound robotic.) So, in other words, the women or girl they are talking about is so desirable that she is like Lucifer and you have to use all your willpower just to resist her wiles. In the MV you see them trying to fight against her powers and resist her attempts to try to make them bend to her will, etc. That's why in the choreography you see all the robotic moves because they are showing how "Lucifer" is trying to control them like a robot -- for example, they put their wrists together like they are being handcuffed to show how she is trapping them. And they vibrate to show how they are being manipulated by "Lucifer" and they are trying to resist her powers, etc. (FYI: That vibration you saw them do is 100% them actually shaking like that, there aren't any camera tricks. If you pay attention when they perform Lucifer live, you will see them do that exact same thing. :D) LOL we have no idea why they had to be dancing in front of a sports car, but that was kind of an iconic thing that Kpop companies did back then in a lot of their MVs, The group would dance around a fancy car to showoff their coolness and to give the video a more futuristic, expensive looking aesthetic. Key is our diva and fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. And SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment with their sound or look, so Key's head was 100% really shaved bald. What you see is his head has been shaved all the way down to his scalp. He is known for always being unique and wanting to stand out. That's why Key's style is often just straddling the edge of outrageous, but somehow always manages to look cool. This was also the era where Taemin had long hair and it made him one of the most popular of the members at the time, especially with their Japanese fans. The Japanese culture really embraces men with long hair and the members said that he was one of the most popular at the time because of his style. Taemin with long hair is so iconic and many in the fandom were really sad when he eventually cut his hair. When Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 he was only 14 years old, so in "Lucifer" he is only about 16. And the song itself is very complicated with the songs wide range of notes and flow. Many amateurs have thought "Lucifer" looks like one of SHINee's more simple songs and dances. But the minute they try to sing the song and/or dance the choreography, they soon discover that it is way more complicated than they thought. "Hello" also was released in 2010 -- 2 years after debut. SHINee's look in their "Hello" MV is totally the boyfriend look. In this MV they are supposed to be dressed like boyfriends.The story is how they are trying to work up the courage to say hello to the girl they like and to ask her to be their girlfriend. :D Jonghyun is sitting on the step waiting for the girl to come home and he has a gift in a box, Key has a ring, Onew has flowers, Taemin -- because he is only 16 in this MV -- has that plushy that he is decorating for the girl he likes and Minho has a giant teddy bear in the passenger seat of his car. LOL It's a pretty simple story about just being brave enough to say hello. So in this MV, Onew and Jonghyun were 20, Key and Minho were 18 and Taemin was 16. Jonghyun with that little girl is so precious. If you want to see more of SHINee and Jonghyun with little kids you should check out the reality show SHINee did called "Hello Baby." It was a show where the members of SHINee spent several weeks raising a little 3 year old boy and they were supposed to be his surrogate "Appas" (fathers). It's extremely cute and you can find episodes of the show with English Subs on KZbin. All the members of SHINee are actually really great dad material and they all have a soft spot for little kids -- although little children kind of make Onew nervous sometimes, LOL. You should also see Minho when he spends time with little kids, it will make your heart melt. There will be many more favorites...lol. Lucifer was just one of several turning points for Kpop because of SHINee. The choreo was something not seen before due to the perfect synchronization and formations. This made other groups step up a bit. While SHINee had already done a dance practice video for "Replay", it was "Lucifer's" dance practice video with Taemin's iconic stripped shirt that made dance practices a hit and from then on, every Kpop group started doing dance practice videos. The next turning point would be 2013 with the releases of "Sherlock", "Everybody", and "Dream Girl." All three created quite a stir for their choreos, introducing new genres of music to Kpop (dubstep), and for the catchy songs themselves. "Everybody's" choreo was considered the most difficult in Kpop up to that point. It was a HUGE year for SHINee and they won just about every award multiple times, to the extend that one award show had to limit the number of times one group won for the same song down to 3 times because SHINee just repeatedly won their award for "Dream Girl". During a 2018 show that featured SHINee, Key stated that it was Taemin who kept upping the ante with SHINee's choreographies. He always wanted to make them more intricate and difficult. Key's face was priceless while talking about it because you could see his dismay while Taemin just sat there and grinned.

Their hair always change 😂. In the early days Jonghyun & Onew are the vocalist while Key & Minho rappers & Taemin dancing but as time goes by they all got better and better so we have 5 vocalists, 5 rappers ( they were supposed to be a hiphop group 😂 ), 5 visuals & 5 dancers. Watch Everybody & Sherlock next. They have dance practice too but the quality isn't that good for Everybody,Sherlock & Lucifer. But u can watch their live performance at Tokyo Dome. SHINee has one of the most amazing and beautiful discographies, they never disappoint! Lucifer was a song that got so many people into kpop, including me! Rather than reacting to MVs, you can watch their concert performances to really see the talent. I'd recommend Sherlock and Excuse Me Miss from I think Shinee World Concert IV. Basically anything from that concert is a masterpiece. For live shows, I'd recommend Odd Eye, Prism, Married to the Music. Some of my favourites are Tell Me What to Do, View, Shift, there's too many to list but these are usually the crowd favourites! Shinee is also known for their ballads too so definitely check those out if you're interested 😁

"Hello" is such a classic boyfriend song, and I love their vocals in this one. Taemin looks like a literal baby, it's crazy. Now he's a successful soloist and has everyone falling down to their knees for him, haha! This MV currently has over 118 million visitors. NU'EST Band is an amazing band with five members. They have great skills in depicting different concepts in K-Pop. They were formed in 2012 by PLEDIS(in other words, the older and older brothers of the amazing group "Seventeen"). Due to the poor management of PLEDIS, the group "NU'EST" was not similar as "seventeen", so it is not known outside of Korea, but it has a very high reputation in Korea. I suggest you react to them. SHINee members are a family, they consider themselves as brothers. For example each of the member 1st solo albums are connected to each other: ACE (Taemin), BASE(Jonghyun), FACE (Key), VOICE(Onew) and even though Minho don't have a solo album, he had a solo fan meeting before his enlistment and he called it CHOICE, to match with his members, it basically have the same characters in Korean so it sound similar, and the album concept. They said it was because of sense of belonging, that no matter how far they are SHINee is always 5, and they will support each other solo work always. There some videos that talk about it. You already know that Jonghyun passed away, it happened after Onew and Minho birthdays... he actually celebrated their bdays in his concert days before it happened. Also Jonghyun was the only male figure of his family ( it was his mom and sister he lived with them.... he was not close to his father-a very difficult relationship), so when he passed away... the rest of the members (Onew, Minho, Taemin and Key) were basically the Only male figures of the family, so they acted as the head mourners, as Korean tradition indicates. They stayed with Jonghyun body for nearly 3 days ( since they received the news and went to the hospital they did not leave till the funeral day), were present when he was set in the casket, also greeted the visitors who came to pay their respect. And Only them, really close friends and direct family ( mom and sisters), Know where his ashes were buried. Losing Jonghyun was VERY difficult for them, but specially for Onew. Even though all of them recieved psychological help (therapy), Onew ( as he was closer in age and as a friend-brother) took it very BAD and blamed himself, he suffers from depression as well, so after what happened he was always watched not only by the other members but by his own family and his company (SM). He is now very into church ( christian), since he said it helped him during difficult times. You will notice during their 10 anniversary promotions how his members took care of Onew, after losing Jonghyun. Like I said SHINee members blood family support each other, for example even after Jonghyun passing his mom asked them to continue as SHINee , she and Jonghyun sister always went to the other SHINee members activities (such as concert and military performances), Taemin mom is known to be a very close friend to Jonghyun mom, and even comforted her during jjong funeral, also their respective brother and sister of the members are friends as well. They also will NEVER accept that Taemin is not a kid anymore, they still treat him like one, and Taemin enjoy it as well. They also like to tease each other like in shows you will always see them make fun of each other and joke a lot like this, but will not tolerate others out of their own circle to tease or talk bad about any of the members, they turn very serious when it happen.

However, I also enjoy so many other groups, all unique in their own way. South Korea has so many talented young artists, amazing! Fun fact: SM Entertainment hires many talented choreographers and producers to work with their artists. Tony Testa (Michael Jackson's choreographer) has worked with SHINee, Exo, Super Junior, and many others. Rumor has it that Sherlock from SHINee was an expensive choreo that SM had paid for. The reason I couldn't choose between Onew and Jonghyun, their voices are magical, it was Onew's voice that brought me to SHINee with the song * In your Eyes * and the first video I watched was Symptoms and soon the first voice stole my heart and I knew it wasn’t Onew, after all the time I was undecided, I like this one not this one later I said ok forget it I love both I can’t choose between them from now on you both are my Bias and that was 7 years ago kkk In fact they are all so good that it is so difficult to choose a Bias, they are different, but somehow they complement each other so perfectly. @@anand4892 I have all of their full albums in Korean and Japanese, all of the mini-albums and some concert DVDs. Of course, all of Jonghyun's albums including SM Ballads, Onew only have one and I have the same with Key. I have voice and face now for Taemin. I only have 4 albums, two Korean and two Japanese. Looking forward to Onew's next album. for us international fans it is very expensive because of the postage and sometimes the customs fees, but I really want all their albums. My daughters think I'm lucky because I love SHINee they have more than one kpop group they love kkkk they can't do what I do and of course it can take months or years, but I think they deserve the support and love since their songs do the same for us kk I have three playlists 1 just Jonghyun and Onew songs, the second is all SHINee songs and the last is my favorite songs and that includes some from SHINee (almost impossible to choose), some Korean solo singers that I like, some Chinese songs and of course songs that I love more than 20 years from different countries kkkk
