Fun fact: Sherlock is actually a 'hybrid mix' of Clue and Note (two b-sides of the album). So, there are actually multiple versions of the song since they can mix and match which parts of the song they keep in for Sherlock, so the live performance is actually not the official version in the album/MV. They actually do this with a lot of their songs...almost every concert has a new remix/version of their older songs. These concerts are post 2015, which is after Taemin's solo debut, so that is why you can see more of the present Taemin on them. HUGE contrast between RDD/Lucifer remix and Hello, which is one of Shinee's superpowers: they do wildly different things in their discography and they do them all with gorgeous vocals, impeccable dance, and 1000% commitment. A few other iconic lives: Stranger, from Shinee World Concert 4 Excuse Me Miss (also from SWC 4) Everybody (Tokyo Dome performance) Evil (SWC 3) Like a Fire (SWC 3) Hitchhiking (SWC 5) ...which is just the tip of the iceberg. Fun Fact! Jonghyun's grandmother was one of Jeju Island's "Mermaids". The Jeju Haenyo are women who dive to harvest shellfish and other sealife as their job.... They could hold their breath over 3 minutes and dive multiple times throughout the day. This kind of work was multigenerational... So.... I like to think that Jonghyun got his ancestors' lung capacity! He's genetically amazing. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ❤❤❤❤❤

"Sherlock (Clue & Note)" is part of the intro of the concert, but the whole concert is just as intense and amazing as what you just saw. They perform more than 30 songs all with live vocals the entire time. This performance was from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul, so it was in 2015. However, the song is one of their classics, which was released in 2012. (Taemin debuted as a solo artist in 2014, so this was a little less than a year after his solo debut with "Danger".) Key is our fashionista of the group and he is known for creating the outfits for a lot of SHINee's MVs and live performances. Key designed several outfits for this concert, including the ones you see them wearing in this set. The embellishments and design for these military style uniforms were created by him. Key has even been given the official title as SM's director of fashion. If you think this performance was insane, just wait until you see the full concert. They perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5-minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. If you watch this full set, you will see that right after this, they immediately follow this song up with their song "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso." They literally go from one song to the next without even skipping a beat. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. And they do it all while singing live the whole time. :D "Sherlock" is a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's Sherlock album, "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this song is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." Therefore, Minho's whisper part is different than what you will hear in the MV, because when they perform it live, they chose different parts of "Clue" and "Note" to create "Sherlock" each time. So, their performance is never exactly the same, which is one reason why SHINee's concerts are considered one of the best. No matter how many times you have heard a song or seen them perform, you will never get the same thing twice. As the title of the song indicates, SHINee are supposed to be Sherlock-like detectives, so the choreography has been designed to give them Sherlock-like poses and to show them investigating clues, and taking photos, etc. That is why they do that Sherlock Holmes-style exaggerated march, and why you see them kneel down and draw a line on the floor, and why they hold their hands out like they are snapping a photo, and why they brush their arms off like they are brushing dust off their sleeves, etc. Tony Testa, who is a famous American choreographer that has worked with artists like Michael Jackson, choreographed "Sherlock (Clue & Note)," as well as their songs "Everybody" "Dream Girl" and "Married to the Music." He has also worked with other SM groups and artists, such as TVXQ and Super Junior, etc. SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" was his first Kpop project, and it was one of the first times anyone in the Kpop industry used a big-name international choreographer. Those vocals are why SHINee are known as one of the best live performances in Kpop. Jonghyun is one of the best vocalists in the industry, and what you just experienced is why SHINee is one of the most well-respected groups around. Yes, that was Key's high notes; Jonghyun, Onew, Key and Taemin all have amazing high notes in this song. Even as rookies, Jonghyun and Onew were so well respected for their vocal abilities that they were mentors and vocal coaches for several SM artists, including some of the members of EXO. Fun fact for Tokyo done with regards to shinee. All other idols wether groups or soloists have to request the Japanese to use the venue but with shinee it's the other way around. Japan offers it to them for their concerts or solo concerts without waiting. Once the boys say they want to do a concert there they are offered any venue while all others have to request it through proper channels and proceedures

"Dazzling Girl" is one of SHINee's Japanese songs, so the performance you just watched was from their SHINee World Concert 2014 -- I'm Your Boy at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. (Which is the Japanese leg of the same world tour in which you just watched their "Sherlock" performance. If you continue to watch both of these concerts, you will see that they perform most of the same songs -- the only difference is whether they are the Japanese version or the Korean version -- and the set design and their outfits are mostly the same for both as well. However, in the Japanese concert they switch out some of their Korean songs for their songs, such as "Dazzling Gril," that are exclusively Japanese songs.) "Dazzling Girl" was part of their encore, which was the second to last song they performed of the night in their more than 3 1/2-hour concert. This is one of SHINee's favorites among fans, but a lot of the time new fans aren't really aware of most of SHINee's Japanese songs. Japanese songs and albums aren't usually promoted outside of Japan, so unless you follow them closely you may not even know when they release a new Japanese song or album if you're not in Japan. As you can probably tell, this is a Shawol favorite because SHINee are saying that we are all dazzling girls in their eyes. :D Fun fact: When a SHINee concert is titled with a year such as this one, "SHINee World Concert 2014," you know it's a concert in Japan and it's part of their Japanese tour. This same concert tour in Korea or anywhere else in the world is called SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) -- with a Roman numeral. So, you can tell whether it's a Japanese concert or in Seoul, for instance, just by the title. And, yes, Onew's dance was 100% improvised, spur of the moment, which is why he looked so proud of himself and why Minho high-fived him. As you can see, at this concert they have a live band, so not only are the members singing live the whole time, but the music is live as well. You should also check out their "Dazzling Gril" MV, even if you are unable to react to it. There is a short version, which is the version that was originally released outside of Japan, and a full version, that was released in Japan. You can find both on YT now. Traditionally, most Japanese MVs use an abridged version of the song, which is why there are often short ver. MVs of the Japanese songs by Kpop artists. The short version is the original version that was used for their Japanese promotions. My theory is that Japanese MVs are shorter because It's part of Japan's marketing strategy to make you buy the song or album in order to hear the full song. So, most of the time, to hear the whole song you have to see it live in concert like this, used in a dance practice video or listen to it on the album. However, if we're lucky, sometimes -- like in this case -- a Japanese fan will upload the full version, so we can hear the whole song and understand the full story in the MV. SHINee debuted as Japanese artists in 2011 and they have Japanese versions of a majority of their songs, plus, like "Dazzling Girl", tons of songs that are exclusively in Japanese. SHINee are one of the most popular artists in Japan. They are so popular that they are part of the mainstream music scene and most Japanese citizens don't even consider them foreign artists. They spend about 50% of their career in Japan, so they are fluent in Japanese and they have just as many Japanese albums and songs as they do Korean. Therefore, when SHINee holds a concert in Japan it's almost entirely in Japanese. They don't even need translators when they interact with the audience. When Kpop artists hold concerts in Japan most everyone who is involved are Japanese. Therefore, when SHINee holds their Japanese concerts, they are separate entities from the rest of their world tours because they have to rehearse everything with all their Japanese backup dancers, musicians and staff, etc. Which is why they are so close to all their backup dancers and the band members at this concert. As you can see, they know all of them by name and they all become like family. SHINee are so popular as Japanese artists that they are one of the few acts that are actually asked by the Tokyo Dome concert promoters to hold another concert there. Most people have to ask to hold an event at the Tokyo Dome, but with SHINee, executives actually contact SM and ask them to please hold another event there. The Tokyo Dome is one of the largest concert venues in Japan, which holds 55,000 people, and there is an unwritten rule that in order to get permission to hold an event there you have to be able to fill it to capacity. SHINee are such big-name artists that they know they will have no problem selling out within minutes of tickets going on sale and most likely they will have to have multiple day events because fan demand will be so high. SHINee has even held fan meeting events at the Tokyo Dome that weren't even full concerts and were still able to sell out. Which just goes to show you how popular they really are. You'll get to hear the Japanese versions of most of the songs you have reacted to, plus a bunch of their Japanese songs, which you may only discover in their concerts. Even if you have seen them perform these songs before, it's always worth checking out their Japanese concerts as well because SHINee never performs a song the same way twice. Therefore, you will always feel like it's a new experience no matter how many times you have seen or heard it.

During Hard promotion and 6th Shinee world concert both Key and Taemin covered all Jonghyun and Onew's high note parts and Minho covered the low notes. "Hello" was released in 2010 -- 2 years after their debut. SHINee's look in this MV is totally the boyfriend look. The whole aesthetic of the MV is supposed to give them a cute, approachable boyfriend image.The story is how they are trying to work up the courage to say hello to the girl they like and to ask her to be their girlfriend. :D Jonghyun is sitting on the step waiting for the girl to come home and he has a gift in a box, Key has a couple ring (not a ring for a marriage proposal -- a ring you give the girl you are dating symbolizing that, to borrow from an old fashion term, you're "going steady"), Onew has flowers, Taemin -- because he is only 17 in this MV -- has that plushy that he is decorating for the girl he likes and Minho has a giant teddy bear in the passenger seat of his car. LOL yep, it's a pretty simple story about just being brave enough to say hello and confess your feelings. This was SHINee's follow up comeback after their release of "Lucifer." Usually when SHINee has a comeback if their first release was a darker theme like "Lucifer" then their repackage comeback release will be a brighter happy song like you see with "Hello," and vice versa. Fun fact: We don't need to know who is on the other side of the door because we are supposed to imagine it's us who they are coming to see. Shawols are SHINee's girlfriends and they are trying to work up the courage to say hello to us. LOL So, in this MV, Onew and Jonghyun were 20, Key was 19, Minho was 18 and Taemin was 17. Onew's hairstyle in this MV is pretty close to what it looks like now and the entire fandom was excited to see his long hair once again with their "Hard" comeback over the past few months. This is Onew's classic rocker hairstyle and it's one of his most favorite looks among the majority of longtime fans. You only wish your hair was as cool as theirs. LOL :D Plus, SHINee will always have hairstyles that are just slightly out there because with their experimental concept, EVERYTHING they do is supposed to be trendsetting and different than what anyone else is doing. SHINee are the ones that started the trends, including making hairstyles popular. Jonghyun with that little girl is so precious. If you want to see more of SHINee with little kids, if you haven't already, you should check out the reality show SHINee did called "Hello Baby." It was a show where the members of SHINee spent several weeks raising a little 3-year-old boy and they were supposed to be his surrogate "Appas" (fathers). It's extremely cute and you can find episodes of the show with English subs on KZbin. All the members of SHINee are actually really great dad material and they all have a soft spot for little kids -- although little children kind of make Onew nervous sometimes, LOL. You should also see Minho when he spends time with little kids, it will make your heart melt. I particularly find it more interesting for you (and for those who are getting to know the group) to react first to the MV (when there is and it is possible to react) and then you react to live performances! What happened with the sequence RDD and Lucifer was perfect: in a video you watched the MVs and people indicated the best options to react to the songs live! I believe that this way it will be possible for you to better see the evolution of the group in the MVs 🙂 BTW, at this point I think it's also cool to consider reacting to a group guide, to get to know each member better!

try not to compare SHINee with others. I'd say Taemin really worked on his vocals and saw the biggest development around 2011. From then on SM gave him a lot more lines, starting with Shelock in 2012. At first his technique sounded a lot like Jonghyun, but when he debuted solo in 2014 he developed his own style more. The stages you watched were from 2015 and 2016.

another SHINee reacts that Shawols have waiting🎉 kinda wondering why u skipped sherlock mv👀 and you're right in Sherlock Taemin started to have many lines than before. in Replay he didn't have any lines and had changed in vocal chords due to puberty. he learned hard about singing and before sherlock he participated in a show Immortal Songs 2 which really good showcasing his singing skills and then he become the first solo artist in SHINee in 2014 (even in SMent, from a group) his hard work pay off

Minho has done the most for k dramas.. Taemin has done some as has key. Jonghyun never did as he didn't like acting he was more interested in doing radio show blue night , singing and composing and he wrote one novel. He never got the chance to write his 2nd one. As for onew. Descendants of the sun is the k drama you were wondering about.
