Fun fact. The costumes for this were designed by key. He is sm refused fashion director and has been for a number of years. This is the song that you first hear the iconic phrase shinee's back! Which they then incorporated into some of their songs. As to lip syncing. Shinee is the only group that sing live. They do not lipsync ( their shot at it so they never ever done it. ) They were live vocals from day one which was their debut. Taemins returns from the military April 4th. Key's repackage album entitled killer is out Feb 13th. Onew is recording for his new album . Minho is going from country to country for his fan meetings. Shinee's 15 anniversary is on 25 may. Plus they will be doing a live broadcast when Taemin is home then they will be working on their group album which hopefully will be out most likely next year. And Onew said there will be an upcoming concert as a group at some point. But currently the only concerts will be key's for his repackage album and one as for when his new album eventually comes out.

"Sherlock (Clue & Note)" is part of the intro of SHINee's SWC4 in Seoul concert, but the whole concert is just as intense and amazing as what you just saw. Key designed several outfits for this concert, including the ones you see them wearing in this set. The embellishments and design for these military style uniformes, were created by him. Key has even been given the official title as SM's director of fashion. And what's even more mindblowing is that they perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. If you watch this full set you will see that right after this they immediately follow this song up with their song "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso." They literally go from one song to the next without even skipping a beat. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. And they do it all while singing live the whole time. :D As you may remember, "Sherlock" is a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's Sherlock album, "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this song is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." Therefore, as you discovered, Minho's whisper part is different than what you heard in the MV because when they perform it live they chose different parts of "Clue" and "Note" to create "Sherlock" each time. So their performance is never exactly the same, which is one reason why SHINee's concerts are considered one of the best. No matter how many times you have heard a song or seen them perform, you will never get the same thing twice. Those vocals are why SHINee are known as one of the best live performances in Kpop. Jonghyun is one of the best vocalist in the industry, and what you just experienced is why SHINee is one of the most well respected groups around. Even as rookies, Jonghyun and Onew were so well respected for their vocal abilities that they were mentors and vocal coaches for several SM artists, including some of the members of EXO. Yet again, I will encourage you to show him this whole concert DVD sometime -- watch it on your own time even if you can't react to it. This whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- has been uploaded to KZbin by a fan, and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY. As you know, you really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique.
