SHINe is from their 2013 album "why so serious?", Sherlock from the 2012 album Sherlock and Stranger from their 2011 album "The First" so you were correct with thinking it seemed older :D

That's SHINee for you, pure greatness. And pretty much no one will argue with you on that fact. LOL :D "Sherlock" is a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's album "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this performance is called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." So, what you heard was a mashup of the two songs. (Just like with SuperM's new song "One (Monster & Infinity)") If you think this set was crazy, just wait until you see the full concert. They perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. There is actually one more song in this set -- "Picasso" comes right after "Stranger." They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they look and sound like the performance hasn't even started. (You should take the time to watch the full concert DVD sometime, to really understand just how magnificent they are as performers. It's even more mind blowing when you see how unbelievable they are throughout a whole concert. I guarantee you have never experienced anything quite like a full SHINee concert before. :D) If you are impressed with Jonghyun's long high note in "Stranger", just wait until you see Onew's performance of "Friend," kzbin.info/www/bejne/ombae3evoNRosJo. Onew broke the record for the longest continuous note at 40+ seconds, just because he could. Or Key's high note in "Like a Fire" live at their SHINee World Concert III (SWC3) in Seoul, just because he felt like it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXXViHusndp_rsU. All the members of SHINee have amazing high note abilities. Even Minho, who is the main rapper and has the deepest voice out of all of them, has been known to hit some impressive high notes on occasion. Fun fact: SHINee's outfits in this performance were designed by Key in collaboration with their stylists. He is the one that embellished them and designed each of them. As SHINee's fashion expert, Key often is the one that comes up with SHINee's look for their MVs and live stages. He has a whole portfolio of sketches of ideas for some of their most iconic stage outfits and he meticulously designs every detail and accessory. "Stranger" is a b-side track which was first released as a bonus track on SHINee's repackaged debut Japanese album in 2011/2012. And then the Korean version was included a few months later on their Sherlock album in 2012. And "SHINe" is part of their Misconceptions of Me album which was released in 2013. "Stranger" just sounds different because, like everything SHINee does, it's all part of their experimental concept and nothing you hear from them will ever sound the same -- even on the same album. Their songs never stick to the same sound or style. As you are discovering, SHINee live is 3000% better than any of their studio versions of their songs -- which says a lot, because SHINee's albums are perfection, and it's pretty hard to outdo perfection. LOL As you heard, SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers for a reason. :D As I think you know, SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography like this. SHINee live is like none other, and their stages are some of the best in the industry. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. SHINee literally set the standard when it comes to live performances. It is actually known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups strive to reach. SHINee are Idols' Idols and legends among legends. They are one of the groups that pretty much made Kpop what it is today. I recently found where someone has reuploaded the whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY It really feels like you are right there at this concert. If you haven't already, you should watch this whole concert, even if you can't react to the full thing -- watch it on your own sometime. :D You really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique.
