Jonghyuns high note blows me away! Love and miss him dearly. And to all of shinees amazing vocals and performance it can't get any better then this. But somehow they always out do themselves. Thank you so much for this great reaction.

If you are impressed with Jonghyun's long high note in "Stranger" -- which is about 20 seconds long -- just wait until you see Onew's performance of "Friend," kzbin.info/www/bejne/ombae3evoNRosJo. Onew broke the record for the longest continuous note at 40+ seconds, just because he could. Or Key's high note in "Like a Fire" live at their SHINee World Concert III (SWC3) in Seoul. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXXViHusndp_rsU. All the members of SHINee have amazing high note abilities. Even Minho, who is the main rapper and has the deepest voice out of all of them, has been known to hit some impressive high notes on occasion. "Stranger" is part of the same set of songs that "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" is part of that you already watched from this SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul in 2015. So, right before this they performed "Sherlock" and "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso" comes next. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. Fun fact: SHINee's outfits in this performance were designed by Key -- the one with the longer gray hair -- in collaboration with their stylists. He is the one that embellished them and designed each of them. As SHINee's fashion expert, Key often is the one that comes up with SHINee's look for their MVs and live stages. He has a whole portfolio of sketches of ideas for some of their most iconic stage outfits and he meticulously designs every detail and accessory. "Stranger" is a b-side track which was first released as a bonus track on SHINee's repackaged debut Japanese album. And then the Korean version was included a few months later on their Sherlock album. As you are starting to discover, SHINee live is 3000% better than any of their studio versions of their songs -- which says a lot, because SHINee's albums are perfection, and it's pretty hard to outdo perfection. LOL As you heard, SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers for a reason. :D SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography like this. SHINee live is like none other, and their stages are some of the best in the industry. Their concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform nonstop and never sound out of tune or out of breath. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. SHINee literally set the standard when it comes to live performances. It is actually known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups strive to reach. SHINee are Idols' Idols and legends among legends. They are one of the groups that pretty much made Kpop what it is today. Someone has reuploaded the whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY It really feels like you are right there at this concert. You’re not wrong saying the beat reminds you of early 2010s. Stranger is originally a Japanese song from their first Japanese album call “The First” that was released in 2011. It was such a popular bop they rerelease it in Korean on their EP “Sherlock” next year. I love this performance (even though I prefer Japanese version of the song) but tbh each and every Stranger stage is amazing. Spot on. Shinee members have different timbre that you won't mistaken which voice belongs to who. Then when they harmonize ... *chef kiss Onew's voice is unique that when Lee Soo Man (SM Entertainment founder) told him to sing in on the spot audition, he loves his voice and wanted him as SM trainee. Then Onew signed the contract the day after audition.
