The entire SWC V concert is evidence that Shinee is the group to emulate and that they really set the standard. It opens with a breathtaking performance of 5 songs in a row without a break and it's just incredible all the way through. If you can't react to the opening all at once you should absolutely do Juliette and Why So Serious. Key brings a special surprise to Juliette and Minho gives an amazing performance in Why So Serious but really they're all great throughout the whole concert.

@@renfairy7420 It's so sad that some people talk about it, in all the SHINee videos, Jonghyun is so much more than that day, his talent is so great, his love for his family and Shawols and of course his joy, but people just focus on what happened, it doesn't matter if the video is something happy, they always bring it up, they need to talk about something that makes We Shawols sad, none of them are Shawols, because when we saw a show with the 5 we don't think about sad things let us enjoy them and when they are 4 on stage we saw 5 as they say SHINee will always be 5 (I hear 5 voices and feel 5 stage presence all the time) it's true that Jonghyun is a good friend of IU's but he is much closer to his brothers and she thinks how sad IU is, please don't even make sense His brothers, mother and sister, they remember him with love, miss him too and of course sometimes they may feel sad but Jonghyun is joy and he wants to be remembered for his music and is love for SHINee and Shawols

This concert was SHINee's SHINee World Concert V (SWC5) in Seoul, so it was in 2016 -- This was their 5th world tour -- and at this point they had already held more than 100 concerts in their career. So Onew and Jonghyun were about 26, Minho and Key were about 24 and Taemin was around 22. As noted, what you just heard was the remixed version of "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer." so that is why you may have noticed that they sound different than the MV. SHINee never performs a song the same way twice, so it's always a new experience no matter how many times you have seen or heard them perform the song. That's why SHINee concerts are considered one of the best concerts in the world. SHINee live is always 300 times better than their studio recordings. That is why they are such legends when it comes to live performances. And why all Shawols will tell you that you need to see their live performances even more than their MVs. They are most definitely singing live the whole time. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have specifically trained since their debut, to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight in concert and always sound flawless while performing these intense choreographies. What you just heard was SHINee live. It may be shocking because they sound so flawless even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are such legends and why they are so highly respected in the industry. SHINee are referred to as CDINee or CD-eaters, because they sound even better live then they do in their studio recordings. It is a running joke between fans and the members that you can tell when SHINee are lip syncing because they are so bad at it, that is why they avoid it at all costs. If you ask any of the members, what is something you are not good at? One of the very first things they will say is, "I am horrible at lip syncing." (I have heard the members say this multiple times with my own ears.) Other Idols and audio sound technicians, etc. who have witnessed SHINee performing live are always blown away, because in the parts of the song where most singers would take a break and rely on the backing track vocals to cover their voices so they can catch their breath and recover, this is where the SHINee members actually ramp it up and become their most powerful. I guarantee, that if you were to listen to them singing these songs a cappella while performing the choreography, they would sound just as flawless. What you just experienced is why, even as rookies, SHINee was so highly respected by everyone, including their seniors. Even during rehearsals on music programs senior artists would stop everything they were doing to come and watch SHINee perform because their live vocal ability while performing intense choreography was something no one else was doing at the time, and people were blown away by how perfect their singing and harmonies were. Even still today, SHINee is the group that everyone looks up to and wants to be like. SHINee live is unmatched and it's literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard that all other groups strive to reach and SHINee are the vocalists that all other artists try to emulate. And just think, this wasn't even the opening set in this concert. If you watch this full concert, you will see that this performance is about 1 hour and 20 minutes into their 3 1/2 hour concert. Fun fact: Although this concert doesn't have a live band, SHINee has had other concert tours where all their music was played by a live band.
