My wife and myself enjoy driving the backroads. Just about anytime we get the chance. It's not so hard to turn a quick trip into a 300 mile round trip. We've done this for years, just never really thought about the making Videos part. Lol These Videos just seem to be another reason to go back and visit a few places that you've shown. Thank You Please Keep Them Coming.

On the old Southern Pacific before they ran thru to Houston, crews would swap at Glidden. Now if you stayed at your away from home terminal over 16 hours you got paid for sitting on your butt till they had a train for you to take back to San Antonio. So instead of paying you the held away from home terminal money the railroad would dead head you back on Trailways bus. Now the difference between Grayhound and Trailways was Grayhound had an express buss that went straignt down I-10 to San Antonio a 2 hour 30 minute drive. But Trailways went thru Shiner- Halletsville- Schulenberg Gozalez Seguin a 4 hour trip---- we called this route the Chicken Run

Great informational videos! How do you decide where to go and what you want to 🎥 film?

Thanks for visiting. Sometimes it's something that caught my attention as I was driving by or something I read about. Other times its just a question in my mind that I want the answer to. For this video I was simply annoyed by the traffic on I-10 on the weekends between San Antonio and Houston and looked for an alternate, less stressful route.

As PJ O'Rourke said, when you think of the 'good ole days', think dental care. Or lack of thereof. 😄

I'm a new subscriber and love your videos, but find the huge difference in your voice audio and the music audio, very irritating. I have to turn the volume way up to hear and understand you and then the music comes on and crosses my eyes. The music is fine, just WAAAAAAAY too loud. Keep up the great videos. Thank you.

Yeah I'll be sure to try and level out the audio a little better going forward
