Hello from Germany! My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Howard’s in Shiner today after seeing this video. What a gem! Enjoying a cold one, petting Peanut the cat, and chatting with some friendly locals made our day. Thanks for showcasing this unique spot, Texas Bucket List! 🍻🐾

Howard has been a friend and musical cohort of mine for nearly 30 years -- no better human being walks this planet, that's a promise.

Wife and I had the pleasure of hanging out at this place about a month ago. It is exactly as they describe. We went in and had a couple of beers and met some really nice locals. It made for a great time. Heck one of them went and grabbed the prison guard and introduced us saying "if you get any trouble this guy will take good care of you". I got a real chuckle out of it. Highly recommend going.

Thank you Howard for your decision to settle here, for your decision to settle in a small town, for the many, various jobs you supply and for all the God given fellowship you supply to a finiminal fellowship you provide your ‘flock’ of down to ground folks!!😊 Bless you in your work, my brother!!

I'm from Yoakum, just down the road from Shiner. I love Howard's! Y'all should have stopped at H&H Cafe and Bakery in Yoakum since y'all we're in the area. Great Texas food, and amazing kolaches! Maybe next time.

Besides beer, bait, ammo and movies, Howard's is the start point for the Shiner volkswalk.

One word......AUSTIN! and looks as if Beto will beat Cruz in the upcoming mid-terms. Sad, that Texas's days as a Conservative are probably coming to a close in another decade. Next time around, Texas will be like Florida, purple and eventually, blue as California, so sad.....

@@xXHaveBlueXx Perhaps, but back then it was razor thin and the simple fact is that Cruz did not exactly blow Beto out of the water. Now he (Beto) is running for Prez, while I doubt he'll get the nomination, the sad fact is that Texas is changing. Hopefully, I'll be long dead and buried before the Californians corrupt the state as they have in Oregon, Washington, Colorado and turn our cities into Quasi-Socialist Cess Pools as they have with SF, LA (possibly being infected with the Bubonic Plague as we speak), SD.

Stupid "virtue signaling" question. No one's invited, you just drop in and participate. Shiner has a sizable Latin population, no one is going to give a rat's a** about your ethnicity.
