I love how you show that 4c is just as easy to maintain as any other hair type. Your hair is so beautiful. 😍😍😍

I love your hair. I love how confident you are about it. You're one of the people who motivated me to love my afro textured hair and grow it out. Now I'm 2 years in and loving it. Much love ❤❤❤ I definitely relate to the time consuming nature of shingling. It takes me hours. That's why I haven't done it in months. The shingling made your curls really defined.

Can you please try the TheChicNatural's Juicy 2 product wash n go?...she says she's 4c,but that just makes me doubt my curl pattern because everything she does not necessarily work for my tight coils. Thank you for the video though. I loved the result

@@positivevybes247 i don't think everything works for everyone even in the same hair type. I know chizi duru and kandidkinks love the tangle teezer but some 4c gals in jennie js comments said it thinned their hair. Some ppl don't pre poo, some ppl wash their hair without sections etc. Her hair routine is very easy and even some 4a gals have a longer routine than her (im 4a), sometimes it is what it is.

@@bbappzz98 I get that... We might have the same hair type... But the coils might be different.. Porosity levels... Etc... And I've seen ThatChicNatural's hair dry with no products.. And it definitely looks 4c...I just thought it would be fun to see another 4c girl try that wash n go

I would call this finger coils more than shingling since you coiled each section instead of just smoothing the product through each section. It looks super cute!!!! I suggest picking your roots to help attain the rounded shape in the back. I've been getting my hair coiled for years and this style definitely has staying power, can work with cream as well as gel stylers. I pineapple to help stretch it a bit as as I suggested, I use a pick at my roots to lift and shape my hair without disturbing the coils themselves.

You’re soo cute and the shape of your hair is absolutely perfect. Mine used to look great like that but I think it’s time for a trim. Nothing like an effortless 4c fro. It’s so chic

I once tried the shingling method and ended up with a regular afro. This is definitely not for me. Yours came out so cute. 😍😍😍

I love it on you😻! You look amazing! Shingles have been my go to style for my thick 4c hair. It does take a bit more work to do compared to other texturing methods, but if done correctly, they can really last. Shingles look different with the various holds of products. A gel that has a thicker more tacky hold will give even more definition. Also the more you use, the more defined the curls tend to be. That’s just if you wanted to play around with the different looks shingle will give. I adore you videos and love your hair ❤️.

When I was a loose natural I used this method with Paul Mitchell one conditioner and eco styler gel, my hair “WAS A SHOW STOPPER” I kid you not, was a lot of fun. Now I am locked, I was a wash and go type of natural, I loved it!

For your thick hair you can use Morfose Wax to shingle or do thin or semi thin twists, but DON'T twist all the way to the end. When you're twisting and have like a inch more left to twist, start to shingle the inch that is left. So in simple words: start with twist then when almost reach to tip, you shingle the tip. Hope this helps.

You can use your pick with your head upside down starting at the nape and slightly lift your hair from the roots to add more volume in the back. Also for sleeping you may want to try making several (6-8) small pineapples to preserve your lifted roots. I love your hair no matter what you do with it❤️ Makeup look definitely right🌹🌹🌹

This is a style that I have attempted to do several times and I quit not even two minutes into starting lol. For me, it’s just too much work. I love to watch other people do it but it’s a no for me. Have you ever stretched your hair using the African Threading method? Stay safe and be well.

I do it. But it's not that hard. If you use a good gel and a good brush on the sections then you use your fingers to finish each section off. Kind of like how you do the last half
