Yeah, but Ryuk doesn't get attached to humans or form any kind of emotions or feelings for them. Most Shinigami don't, Rem is a rare exception. Light was merely entertainment for Ryuk, lol. Thanks for watching!

I would kill for an 'official' prequel to all of them, shinigami back stories, Light comin up as a privileged brat, L trying to wrangle Matt and Mello actin a fool, Misa overcoming her seeing her parents murdered, Near steady plotting his end game coup. Hell yeah 😉
