and after that, shinji realize if he was fated as savior of mankind. he paint his eva red with big sunglasses and start to drill the angel ass who threathen the humanity and limiting human potential, when standing on top of his eva head doing gunbuster pose, which shocked his father to dead. gendou now realize that his son doesnt need him anymore when kamina was on shinji side. gendou simply can't withstand that his son already become manlier and capable of moving on, unlike him who cant let go of his deceased wife.
