It's a beautiful game, the bosses are very well made, music and artistic method used for textures looks advanced to his age and It's not a surprise that it costs US 1.700. Good Speedrun!

This video was recommended to me by KZbin, and although I've never heard of this game before, I'm intrigued 🧐 The gameplay at least looks like a side-scrolling walking shooter like Sin And Punishment, with slides and a cursor for your main weapon. Excuse me if I'm wrong. So much old Japanese mythological and religious influence is very cool, too. Not surprised it only released in Japan.

Did you play with an emulator? If so, can I ask which one? I should definitely get into Sega Saturn emulation. This game looks like an hidden gem. Not the best 2D the Saturn can do, but still great pixel art, good use of some 3D for depth, lots of boss fights with none lasting too long. I love the giant frong and most of the final bosses.

Saturn = PlayStation and both > N64. Saturn could have been the single best console of its time with a more straightforward hardware design (easier to develop games for and would have been less expensive) and with more solid ports of Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter. Wouldn't have hurt either if Konami didn't mess Symphony of the Night and would have released it worldwide.
