Had to go and compare catch dates to be sure, but my first ever shalpha in this game was the static Electivire in the Coronet Highlands during the main storyline. Running into that guy randomly at full odds was Wild and I've had him on my team ever since. My first shiny of the game was the god himself (Bidoof) 10 minutes in. Lmao

I have been shiny hunting Unown trying to get the alphabet done and I swear I never see shinies during mass outbreaks anymore. The only shinies I do see are from normal spawns but I can do WEEKS without seeing a shiny especially when I see an outbreak pop up
