Yee i know x) its just that my team is under leveled and gets destroyed so i only get a very limited amount of turns to throw a few ultra balls before i get forced to use the Masterball 😂

This will be a cool reclaim This one time I was doing a BQ in XY. Was going for Sycamore's Squirtle. I was sr really recklessly and this one time I got to see that the Squirtle was female before even opening the summary, I was *so* sure that because it was a female it was going to be impossible for it to be shiny so I skimmed quickly through Squirtle's summary without really paying attention with my fingers ready to sr. My fingers were pushing already the buttons when I noticed the red star (since Squirtle's shiny isn't that noticeable) and she disappeared in the ether. I almost cry and took a hiatus of over a year. That hunt broke me

@@ShinyHaunterSJ I'll definitely reclaim it when it times come. I'm already back in business. Right now doing a BQ in Pokémon Pearl. Already have some cool objectives like shiny Chimchar, shiny Drifloon and shiny Shieldon. Now working on a crazy hunt I haven't seen done much on YT (like literally there is only one video with this same hunt)

I’ve been there. I fainted shiny Lugia too back when I first encountered it back in 2017 on hg, I accidentally knocked it out. Since that day, I gotten better prepared and practice of what moves to use when encountered with a shiny so I don’t make that same mistake again. The move Super fang that takes half of the HP, false swipe and either paralyzing the opponent or putting it to sleep. I did the Lugia hunt again in Soulsliver and got it that time with a master ball. That Lugia hunt took me two months which was crazy since the chance was 1/8192.

i really, really didnt want to use my masterball on the Lugia is what i was thinking 😇 wanted to save it for a different Legendary that i care about more, i dont like lugias shiny all that much. and if you watched the full thing you would have seen that if it wasnt for the crit, it actually would have survived x)

Why would you use super eff moves against a legendary you want to catch, let alone a shiny legendary

Like i said, because i wanted to save my masterball for a different Legendary and my team was under leveled for this so the lugia could one shot or two shot most of my team so i didnt have the time to weaken the lugia slowly. Each attack i waste that barely does damage is one less Ultra ball i could have used to potentially catch it and once again, if it didnt crit it would have been perfect lol. in the future i wont do this again though ill just make sure my team is high enough level haha
