I really hope this series keeps going. Last i played, there was only 0KLG, once the derelicts around it were done, that was it. Now you can go to other places, i can't imagine what end game looks like. WOuld be cool to at some point in the future, when you're rolling on gold coins like Scrooge Mc Duck, having a security detail so you can make rooms for the bonuses and all that stuff.

Speaking about pirates. In my playthrough they are relentless. But it's a good thing. By your gameplay was inspired to try ostranauts, and I don't know it's just my luck maybe, but went with default char(only + hacking), over 20 salvage and not a single ship with cargo pods, so run was slower. And so much... Meat. Because of it decided to keep smart gun and replenished on bullets often. So, I started flipping ships, which allowed me to get a mildly better ship(on par with your gas tug by functionality around 500k market price) and that's when pirates started board me non stop. Not matter if it is flipped ship or my ship. But know what, they are simply free salvage, one brought fully functioning fusion reactor to me. So yeah let them come!

There are also soldier types you can hire, with shooting and melee skills in case pirates show up.

I have not been to the flotilla yet, but i am in the process of repairing 3 hauls hopefully enough stuff kept to run a fusion reactor too… i will have to check the wiki list

Could you hypothetically make a pirate honeypot ship with as many rooms and expensive parts as possible. Load up on mercenary type crew, and farm pirates for equipment and money?

Thanks for the video! Q: Would building a single blockwide "doorway" choke point be a viable strategy to defend against boarding pirates (assuming it's melee mostly), having three people stand on one side of the "doorway" defending as one pirate moves to attack?

Chokepoints might help a little with pirates, but honestly your best bet is extreme violence.

He said multiple occasions that the transponder is one of the very few things that is likely to break if you try to uninstall it. Moving walls and floors is bottlenecked only by labor. See the ship flipping episode.

Would it not have been beneficial to put your companion in a suit and start auto repairing the new ship while you installed everything? (Keep in mind all I know about this game is from your videos 😊) so just curious

Repairs can be done fairly easy in transit so repairs make for good 'filler' tasks

just left kleg chilling in space going about 90 at 1x heard proxy alarm click console, before traveling the 3 tiles to the console im plowed into by a hauler that had to have been pulling 800 just outside the station and yes im certain i was on 1x
