So, a bit of advice for turrets, try to make it so that the ones further back can fire over the ones up front. On this particular ship that can be something as simple as running gatling or rocket turrets on the rears instead of assault turrets. That way the ship can bring all of its weapons to bear against a target, rather than only half at any given time. It'll be more effective but also look like it's built to a more modern style of combat.

Hey Major! I love your designs and really appreciate watching the evolution from start to finish. Would you ever do a video on how you add interiors to a ship? I always find myself struggling super hard to do the conveyors and whatnot. I also have no idea how you cut out the conveyors and guns like that to show. He just manually deletes all non-conveyor blocks. A bit tedious, but doesn't take too long usually

Impressive! I've never really been able to do the whole hull-first design approach, myself. I always lay out the conveyor system and interiors first, which can lead to interesting shapes if I'm careful but is also really easy to mess up.

Hey! Just wanted to say that videos like these are very informative and inspirational. I am currently working on my very first large ship and your videos have helped me a lot. I've built the shape but I'm struggling with the thruester design on the back. If you need some video idead you could make a tutorial on how to build rear engines that look nice. Using the amour panels to add texture is really good. I saw a pelican drop ship from halo that used it and the detail was impressive

My problem is trying to keep things proportional. I either don’t leave room for components, or make things WAY too big for the size of items such as thrusters. Any tips for general “size” for scales? (My ships look blocky, or get too complicated for me to keep to 1 style of design)

What is this program that you use to put these videos together? I'd really love to slap some ships together with all the parts and pieces in a program like this and then Blueprint them and use them at a printing wall in my survival save; if that's possible. Looks great, but this method of building is really inefficient, if you want to get a practical and efficient design you should start with functional parts and interior planning and then encase it all in a hull instead of first making a hull and then trying to jam everything inside of it while using an ungodly amount of conveyors to connect everything. What your ships are is art without the proper engineering part and I respect that, but please clarify that in your videos so people don't get the wrong idea how you should go about building things in this game if they want them to be actually useful and efficient.
