Great day out. It was unfortunate in the afternoon, but that's fishing for you.

Eh, gads, those engines sing a song I can dance to! Beautiful. And the dolphins just put the cherry on the cake.

There are different techniques used for catching different types of fish. For Tope you want to fish mid-water and use a rubby dubby bag. Get a large piece of cheese cloth or similar and make a bag and fill it with fish entrails and the bits you wouldn't eat. Then hang it over the side in mid-water. This will attract the Tope in. If you are using lures then the boat needs to be moving slowly say 1 knot or you need to reel in slowly. This is known as trolling. The techniques used for Tope may also attract Blue Shark. Tope also tend to follow the Mackerel shoals.I used to do a lot of fishing off North Wales. We could spot shoals of Mackerel on our depth sounder display. Miss the N.Wales coast. Absolutely stunning in good weather around Conwy. Safe travels.

I would love to see you guys off Exmouth-Teignmouth-Torbay. A stunning area full of history and HDMLs were built in Teignmouth.

I did my VHF test last year, you say over when you expect a reply and out when you don’t, so over was the correct way!

I was about to say that Gemma has recently done a lot of captain training. She’s probably up to date on radio etiquette.
