*homecoming spoilers* It feels like they're going the superfamily route in the new movies, at least somewhat. I mean tony and Steve aren't in a relationship obviously, but the way tony talks to Peter and looks out for him feels very much like a father/son relationship. We haven't seen much interaction between Peter and Steve yet but I can totally see him and tony arguing over what's best for Peter.

I'd definitely consider it fanon within the Stony fandom at the very least. You just know in fics if they ever decide they want children it'll nearly always involve them adopting Peter. It's gotten to the point where it's very weird if they have a kid that's not Peter. CIVIL WAR SPOILERS I was so happy with Tony's and Peter's interactions in the film. One half of the superfamily is definitely on its way. And the olive branch we see at the end of the film gives hope that Steve and Tony can work out their problems. I'm definitely looking forward to the fix-it fics that will come from this! And the potential for superfamily to take place in these fics is strong. :)

I mean, Peter in my eyes already was born when they had their romance if you use the relative timelines of the films (which I'm applying loosely only to each character's age). Peter might be more of an uncle figure to their kid. So, maybe that's where a continued mantle for Spiderman comes from, sort of like the Flash and many other DC comics characters and possibly the Doctor if you think about it right, which actually makes for a brilliant combination of cheesy story and excellent plot device. Living up to expectations is definitely not a light topic in that version of this reality.

I found Superfamily browsing Spideypool - the entire thing is adorable, considering that in most universes Peter Parker looks up to both Captain America/Iron Man as inspirational figures - in Spider-Man's animated universe, he takes great pains to gain approval in Cap's eyes (and the Avengers, collectively). In Civil War, we definitely see the burgeoning soft what may either be an awkward sort of gratification or hero-worship towards Tony, suggesting parallels to the headcannon. He relates to Tony's scientific/technology-based endeavors and sees him as a fellow intellectual to learn from, and he and Steve both have very typical hero-based ideologies, with the desire to do right and sincerely make the world a better place. Personally, I feel like any Superfamily in cannon (comics or cinematic) would be more metaphorical, in the sense that Steve and Tony's working dynamic is that of a bickering couple and Peter is a protege in need of guidance.

I feel like Peter was practically forced into a relationship (like with several other heroes, I mean "the hero saves the girl and therefore wins her heart" is the most idiotic and it became the most cliche thing I have ever seen), at least of what I remember from the Andrew Garfield films. This kind of makes his already iffy backstory all the more crappy. I do like the idea of something from maybe Cable or some other time traveller from the future being the reason for Spidey's powers. Possibly even Spidey's own child or grandchild. To me, it honestly would be an all the more interesting story to explore. Maybe an enemy wants to alter the future drastically, making genetic experimentation possibly more welcomed than it might have been because of heroes like Spiderman. However, it could destroy any good future there is with more stuff like what we see in Agents of Shield, and thus Spiderman's descendant would have to cause his powers in the first place to make sure things stay stable and don't end up being literal hell. (Someone please point me to a fanfiction if this has already been explored. This *needs* to happen in my eyes.)

I came across the whole Superfamily thing a couple of years ago while looking for Spideypool, and I can't say I dislike the idea - although I don't actively ship Stony anymore. Personally, however, I prefer those fics that don't completely erase May & Ben (and their influence on Peter), but to each their own. Oh, and thanks for another great video. I have to say, I'm not very into this headcanon because I dislike the idea of Aunt May being erased from Peter's story, but I definitely think both Steve and Tony play a parental role to him in the comics, and it makes sense for fans to take that to the next level. I'm not a stony fan but i love the idea of superfamily, especially when Tony shares his love of science with Peter. Because of this is much prefer the lesser known version of this idea, sciencefamily, which has Bruce and Tony raising Peter instead of Steve and Tony. With Bruce as Peters second dad you still get the protective parent that helps Peter deal with bullying like you do with Steve but there's also an added layer of emotions when one considers how Bruce would handle being a parent. Him having a fear that he will get angry around Peter and the Hulk will hurt him is almost always mentioned in the few sciencefamily fics I've found as well as Bruce being insecure about his ability to be a dad because of how his dad treated him. I love scenes in fics where Bruce is off on his own contemplating all the 'what ifs' and either Tony or Peter come to reassure him of what a great parent he is. It's so sweet and feelsy

+momojackandluke Verses are essentially different universes either created by the shows cannon or by fanon so example you could be writing your story either in the comicverse (based on comic storylines histories and interactions) or in the movieverse (so based off the films timelines history or interaction). People will sometimes specify the verse so people know what they are getting in to; or if they are going to reference something that may be more enjoyable with knowledge of whatever verse they are working in:)

I like to think that Peter is Tony’s biological son. I like the idea that Tony and Peter’s Mom did it early on and that got her pregnant. Tony never knew about Peter until one day when Peter came to Stark Tower to apply for an internship did Tony see papers in Peter’s bag that clarified some stuff.
