We use wood shavings to start our fires. Works great! Coop looks wonderful. Loving the wood accents ❤

It needs a interior hall way to collect in crappy weather, rolling nest boxes and a grain room. Cup watering systems on pvc all along the wall can make watering as easy as a 50 gallon barrel. A grain room, I use to have 1500 breeders. Little things help alot. I allways built my coops so i didnt have to walk thru poop every day to get eggs. I also put cammo netting on the roof of my runs. It shades them, but the flying birds cant hunt. I really like this..

I don’t recall you talking about flooring so I wanted to make a suggestion. Vinyl or linoleum makes it super easy to clean out and it helps if you go up the walls 4-6” as well. For additional reference, you go see where Living Simple Alaska did that [on their YT channel]. Your situation might be different enough that their example doesn’t match your need but I thought that a point of reference might be useful.
