2 years ago, since Noraly was in Sth America. Only a week for me. Binge watching. Nothing helps me escape reality faster than this channel. Speaking of escape, Noraly barely made it out the last time. Had its moments. Locals got bitter. Social media disinformation. Authorities and bad optical PR. Took a heavy toll. So Noraly returns. Gotta love a strong woman. Or a glutton for punishment. 😂 I am loving all of her travels. I've learned so much and that makes me happy.❤😀

Your really an interesting person, and have learned from you travelers that understanding the native language does help a lot…. Those of us who are language limited are amazed at your endeavors, you make your travels easy, your encounter all the right people, who are either your fans or not of this planet… with the way the world is turning, watching your adventures make me believe that the only way to find peace, is to get off the grid…. I felt the same way when I drove across USA 6x east to west , meeting just kind people…thank you for traveling for those who can’t ….. most rewarding… at 69 I’m thinking about getting a Honda dirt bike , but, alas that time has past and a GMC driving cross country and maybe up to Alaska is possible..thanks Noraly for giving me the itch to travel again…..

I’m so glad you had an easier ride on the ferry this time around. Having said that, I still had empathetic butterflies as you were navigating all the checkpoints and looking for the drop-off location. It’s exactly how I (anyone?) would feel at the beginning of another big adventure. Your camera footage and mic sound quality have both really evolved. It looks and sounds great. Also, that shipping company is impressive. Alaska was better wrapped in her crate than most new bikes are in theirs. Here’s hoping for no thunderstorms or surprise tire changes as your journey begins/resumes!

Riding from the airport, you had the classic look of someone who is tired, but excited and happy to have arrived at the start of your next adventure. In the 1980s I was able to air freight my bike from Canada to Europe without much fuss. The bike was secured it to a skid designed for the cargo hold of passenger planes, no need to build a crate around it. Like you, I had to drain the gas tank (which was a lot easier with gravity-fed fuel systems) and disconnect the battery, additionally I also had to deflate the tires. Best of all, while the bike was in the cargo hold, my girlfriend (now wife) and I were in the passenger compartment of the same plane ! Basically, they just treated the bike as extra luggage. Not nearly as complicated as what you had to do. Things change. I have to say, Noraly, that I am thoroughly impressed by your ability to seamlessly switch from driving on the right to driving on the left, and back again as needed.

Seeing you traveling freely warms my heart and gives me hope that our touring lives will, someday, return to normal. I can't wait to see how you get along on your trip to Alaska!

As a video engineer 'professional' , I'd be interested in any thoughts/observations you have in terms of technical breakdown on how Noraly approaches her own vid-cap and content creation process. For someone who seems essentially self-taught, Noraly does a mind-blowing superb job of fulfilling mulitple roles (author, presenter, camera operator, drone operator, director, editor, compositort, producer, etc), using only 'pro-sumer' grade gear, that normally would take an entire team of 'professionals'
@seanlee58483 жыл бұрын
Noraly does a great job. Being on both sides of camera can be tough, but it can also be a blessing, in that there's just one vision that she has to fulfill. She's the talent, the director and the editor, usually that's 3 different versions of a story that need to gel into 1. But, to get there, she has to do the work of all 3 roles, so there's a tradeoff. As long as her vision is strong and speaks to her audience, its a success. But it can go wrong, many times we'll have projects that one person as the writer, director and producer...many times those projects are doomed for failure because they lack perspective from multiple individuals. Anyway, I'm running on. Noraly is doing a great job with all aspects of this gig, including, I'm sure, those things we don't see on camera. She speaks to her audience, and we keep coming back for more. I think she's killing it, too, in packing. I have an Adventure 990, and I overpack that big bike. I don't know how she takes all that she needs and does it on a little bike like Savannah. LOL
