This was a hit for Shirl as his debut solo release in October 1976 which peaked at No. 3 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Charts. (it did slightly better in terms of chart position than Brenda Holloway's original 1964 Motown release yet both versions are just as good) R.I.P. Shirl (1952-2001)
