I’ve been following you for years and have all of your videos and books. So inspirational. It would be lovely to see some work shared on this site with personal commentary like this one. Thank you for sharing your work with us all.

I love being able to take photos with my phone as my painting progresses. Definitely helps me “see” what is happening. With watercolor, I think it’s part what you’re doing, part what the watercolor is doing! LOVE IT!

You've given me some courage to go ahead and not be normal about water color painting. Painting doesn't have to be perfect to convey what you want to present. I bought one of your books a while back, and didn't quite understand what it was you were attempting - it was nothing but pictures. I needed more at the time... but held on to the book. Now it makes sense. Juliana (PS - wish I could come and hang out with you - I'm sure what I see would rub off much easier in Real Time)

HI Shirley, thank you for the video. I must say that your comment about watercolour painting being the most difficult painting style is spot on. I am only recently discovering that I excel at making an awful mess, as opposed to acrylics and have come close, just today, to testing the aerodynamics of my palette and soft, fluffy brushes! Recently, I have seen others refer to your book(s) on KZbin and after watching your video it occurs to me that I should look for it before beginning my new line of research. Now, I will attempt to to remove tongue from cheek. Thank you again for the video and the insights shared.

i agree, i started with oils i loved it. i think the best part was building texture. some 35 years later i started watercolors. i found it was the complete opposite, took me a long time to get the hang of it, i love it now, enjoy your video❤️

LOL... I really sucked at Chemistry - and one student called me dumb. Little did I realize how artistic I was at that time. 40 years later, and two careers in music and ART - gave me a clue I should have followed my passion sooner.

There was a painting that was about 10 years old in a house since I was a child until I was a teenager I was wondering who painted it I searched and died and ended up here still not sure if it was your painting or not and I don't know how I can make sure it's your plate ❣️
