シロテテナガザル、赤ちゃんの「コタロー」と家族たち（旭山動物園） - White-handed gibbon baby and their families

旭山動物園のサル舎。シロテテナガザル家族。この動画撮影当時は5頭飼育されていました。まだ、てながざる館はありません。一番小さい赤ちゃんがコタロー（♂、旭山zoo生、当時0歳）。そのすぐ左にいるのが母親のシラコ（保護個体、当時推定16歳）。一番右はシラコの四番目の子、サスケ（♂、旭山zoo生、当時3歳）。一番左にいてコタローに頭を引っ張られているのが、たぶんクロ（と思われる。父親のクロベーかもしれない）。今思うと、こんなににぎやかだったんだな～と。
※コタローは2012年6月6日に円山動物園に移動。父親のクロベーは2005年6月1日に死亡（享年28歳）。母親のシラコは2011年4月19日、最後の子マモルを残し死亡（享年推定22歳）。第3子のクロは2006年3月6日に市川市動植物園に移動後、2007年10月18日に死亡（享年8歳）。第4子のサスケは、テルテル（♂）との交換で2009年10月22日に宇都宮動物園に移動。

These wonderful creatures deserve better and wide spaces, with more extensive nature, not little concrete cages. If possible, should not even be inside the zoo, some will say "It's right that youngh people know certain creatures from Zoo's, Zoo educate people to respect nature" etc etc... if you want to respect nature should do it, preserve the animal habitats, and if you want to see some animals, you can go in rehabilitation centers or watch more documentaries. This means to love nature.

Is this their only outdoor enclosure? If so, they have nothing to swing to and from? That's what gibbons do. Mum can't teach baby how to be a gibbon. Sad. :( Sorry.
