People may not understand why Wukong have such voice. But as a Chinese, this voice IS the authentic voice, damn accurate to every Chinese impression of Sun Wukong in TV Drama, precisely say the 1986 Journey to the West. I don't know what you guys expecting, maybe some husky manly voice like kratos, but this cheeky, squeaky, monkey voice is Wukong himself. The cockiness and intimidation in the voice is right into the bullseye.

He made them give him the title "The Great Sage, Equal of Heaven" because it took everything they had together to come to a draw. It took Buddha, not *a* Buddha, but THE Buddha to trick him and trap him and even then it wouldn't have worked if he'd known what was going on. But there was this dipshit monk who was on a pilgrimage to get clean copies of Buddhist scrolls to bring back to China so they could go back to basics, and Sun Wukong was let out to be his bodyguard on the way. They put a headband on him that would squeeze his head when the dipshit monk said the magic word, to act as a control collar. (Erlang only won here because someone set off the headband and it pains/weakens Wukong.) Wukong spent fourteen years keeping the dipshit monk alive despite the dude 1) smelling *delicious* to monsters, and they start the coals in the barbecue grill as soon as they smell him and 2) being a dipshit who sometimes tries to get himself and everyone around him killed (usually not on purpose). In doing so, he achieved Buddhahood and became known as the Victorious Fighting Buddha, because everyone who becomes a buddha gets a unique title.

It's so interesting that wukong made the 14 year long journey with the buddha monk tripytaka with piggy, and sandy recover the scrolls and obtain buddhahood to live in peace with his monkeys only to realize he was betrayed and the heaven's started to attack sun wukong and his brethren to look for the scriptures to obtain it knowledge and power for selfish reasons he made a contingency plan as back up to keep his master safe and the scriptures where no would find it.
