This isnt confirmed at all. We already knew that the Doom Slayer came from a different realm before he was a part of the Night Sentinels, we only saw it instead of reading about it here. Not only that, but the Doom Marine killed the Icon of Sin in Doom 2, yet all the lore in 2016 and Eternal shows the Icon of Sin only being created well after the Doom Slayer joined the Night Sentinels You also have to make the assumption that somehow there was another Solar System in teh universe entirely identical to our own, with an Earth, a Mars, and a UAC experimenting with Hell technology, and that the almost identical sequence of events played out with the Demons invading Mars, the Earth, the attacking Phobos from space. The leap in logic is waaaaaay too big to fit into the lore Eternal is trying to establish. The Doom Slayer is meant to be a very obvious homage to the original Doom Marine, in the same way 2016 was a homage to Doom and Eternal is a homage to Doom 2. They're not directly related though

@@MilkySubstance at the end of Doom 64 Doom guy went to hell to fight demons forever, he finds a portal that leads to a dimension called Sentinel Prime. but half of it has been corrupted by hell which is call Argent d'nur. eventually he runs into a castle where he is founded by the night Sentinels, so yes doomguy in Doom Slayer the same person. and if you paid attention into doom eternal you would know the Khan maker says to revive the icon of sin to his true form his previous form was killed by doomguy back in Doom 2. also Doom 2016 clearly states that there are multiple Dimensions very similar to each other but also very different and they all share the same Heaven and Hell. hell just wants to corrupt all of them for the Khan maker.

Theres no mention of any portal, sentinel prime, or the night sentinels in doom 64, thats all entirely a fan theory and in no way every confirmed. If you had paid any attention to the lore in Doom 2016, you would have seen it clearly stated that the Icon of Sin was created from the heart and soul of the son of the Betrayer, after the Betrayer made a deal with hell to have his son resurrected. THAT is why the Khan Makyr says she will ressurect the Icon of Sin, because it was already created and killed well before the events of Doom 2016 by the Night Sentinels. NOT by the Doom Marine in Doom 2. Its also hilarious that you try call people out for not paying attention to the lore when you've clearly paid no attention to it yourself. Also, Doom 2016 establishes that there is at least ONE different dimension, and that is Hell. In Eternal we learn that theres a second, Urdak, but it is very clearly stated in the lore of Eternal that all the other worlds or realms that Hell is consuming are all from within our universe. Its how the Night Sentinels are able to use their city-ships in order to travel across space to invade an conquer other planets. This isnt some BS marvel/DC multiverse theory where there are multiple different almost-identical earths out there waiting to be conquered, and there is absolutely nothing in the lore that ever remotely comes close to even hinting at something like that. Its all a bunch of bullshit spun by a bunch of ravenous fanboys desperately trying to connect everything together because they all jerked themselves off over an old Id dev who no longer has anything to do with doom (and hasnt for over a decade) retweeted a fan theory trying to connect the old Doom games with Commander Keen and Doom 2016. The guy doesnt even work at and has not worked at Id for over a decade, and has had no hand in any part of the development of Doom since well before Doom 3 came out. Also, care to explain in this ridiculous theory of yours how Hell managed to invade Mars and destroy most of the UAC facilities there, the also follow and wreak havoc on Earth, only then for everyone on Earth to completely forget tthe whole ordeal and go back to life as normal? To then refound the UAC, develop the same technologies such as teleportation and the BFG9000, even going so far as to name them the same fucking thing, only for Hell to (surprise!) invade and destroy most of the Mars UAC, and invade Earth all over again and nobody seems to remember it happening before?

On his way to confront the Priest, the Slayer recalls his past: following the events of Doom 64, the Slayer - then known as "Doomguy" - elected to remain in Hell to keep the demons from returning. He found his way to Sentinel Prime, where he proved his worth to the Maykrs in gladiatorial combat and was granted a place in the Night Sentinels after warning them of the demonic invasion. The Slayer was granted superhuman strength and speed by a rogue Maykr, and was sealed in Hell once again after the Khan Maykr and the Priests became corrupted by Hell's energy, leading to him being captured by the demons and discovered by the UAC in the previous game.

It may be a coincident, but Doom marine uses chainsaw as a weapon, and the Polish capital city is called 'Warsaw' in English. According to DooM 64, Doom marine is a descendant of a Polish Jew BJ Blazkowicz (which also indicates he would have East-Polish Ruthenian/Russian name (but not Russian in modern sense). And generally speaking, Poles are notorious for ignoring rules and procedures, and doing everything their own way unless given a very good reason.
