I'm a dialysis nurse. I've had many blind patients and I think I treat them like all the other patients. I try and be as helpful as possible. I have learned so much for binging this channel. I can tell I'm so much more comfortable around him now. He is young, 38ish, amd can do a lot for himself. We have better communication. I just ask if he would like help instead of just jumping in to do it for him. He's got a good sense of humor with some blind jokes sprinkled in. I have learned to give him more verbal cues especially if I'm going to touch him so he isn't surprised. If I'm speaking to him I try to stay in one place and not move around so much. I just love you too. I just had to thank yall for making me a better nurse ❤

You know it's true love when you get married just one year prior to the pandemic and have to weather that storm as a newly-married couple. 2020 into 2021, from my observation, was the years of marital problems and divorce. This reminds me so much of my sisters wedding. My Mom sewed my brother-in-laws shirt which wasn’t embroidered but was a light cotton with pleats meant to be worm loose. My sister had a white cotton skirt from Mexico with roses around the bottom. The flowers were picked up by friends from the San Francisco flower market. The cake was a step pyramid where different people baked different layers (mine was carrot cake) and then a friend assembled frosted and decorated it with flowers and dried fruit. They went to “a small island in the Pacifuc” for their honeymoon … they took a tour of Alcatraz. That was over 30 years ago. My brothers and I got together and bought them some nice knives for a wedding present. Chicago cutlery, not fancy by today’s standards, but nice. My (Irish) grandmother insisted she give us a penny to pay for the knives because it is apparently unlucky to gift knives to someone, but okay if the symbolically buy them.

I love these videos and I love this story, can't wait for the next episode. Just a small question - would you not consider longer videos? Maybe 20-25 minutes long (not including the extended patreon videos) or maybe you like the shorter format, idk. I've only recently started watching; I've caught up on the guide dog story, the 'how we met/proposed/wedding" story (this one) and the "book publishing" story. They're all amazing, I just wish they were a little longer (I can't afford the patreon and I'm not asking for secrets revealed from there, I just... would like the story a little less chopped up?
