@Jhrama There is a large Indian population in Guyana. Usually our grandparents or great grandparents are from India (mostly North India). A very small percent of people still speak Bhojpuri or Hindustani. And we keep the Indian names because we are; that is our culture.

my parents are from both east and west bank and they both say the same things. a friend of mine is from georgetown he is black chinese and his family says the same stuff. slight differences come in the regional speech but its all basically the same when they get riled up. english disappears and guyanese english prevails.
