EDIT: Secret revealed, check kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKiThISlntuBmM0 You won't wanna miss this... totally epic secret reveal about RLCraft on December 18th around noon ish time, EST, on my Twitch - www.twitch.tv/shivaxi And of course, an absolutely massive thank you to everyone here, the community, my dev team...the video says it all but it can't be stated enough just how much this silly project that started off as a "just for fun" thing, has completely changed my life forever. I'll try not to sound horribly corny about it and get too teary eyed but for real, I realize how lucky I am, and I'm eternally grateful for what I have. Thank you

Lightning Dragons!!! Honestly, when I started to get into the modpack, I was so bummed to find out that lightning dragons were only available in Ice and Fire in version 1.16.5. But now, to get confirmation that lightning dragons will be in RLcraft. I'm so looking forward to hunting them down and use lightning spartan weaponry. Keep up the great work on RLcraft, it is one of the best ways to play Minecraft.
@KotlinTheDev Жыл бұрын
We also totally reworked the new lightning weapons! Rather than just firing down lightning bolts - they've been reworked to invoke chain lightning! They are super cool! I hope that you enjoy them! They also use new sound effects from Shivaxi himself.

Man, you announce this on the same day the OG devs from Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 in their new company Moon Beast announce they're doing a stream for their new game on the *exact same day*, the 18th, as this stream for RLCraft. Now we just need a PoE2 dev stream on the 18th to round it off the hype for ARPG news. Sadly, no such announcement. Still, nice to know that games and mods true to the ARPG genre are still getting the love and attention to detail even now as we move into the future of games where the AAA industry gets leeched and left to die by the rich elite. The OG Diablo devs, you guys, and the PoE1/2 dev team inspire me every day as a D2 mod dev to keep moving forward.

RL-Craft was the first serious modpack I tried. Before that, I was meshing together a couple of mods randomly for fun at most. It was one of the things that motivated me into game development when I didn't even have a job. Now I'm working as a software engineer in some big company, turning absolute atrocities of code into something slightly less horrid. I'm also keeping to the dream, making my own games, with a self-made codebase/game-engine, I work even slower than shivaxi, but if he made slow and steady work, maybe I can too. I mostly moved away from MC, I play VS more because it has more in-world crafting and less grid crafting, but I will return for RL-Craft, it has too many good memories to just drop. Also, the suffering in RL-craft often feels unfair, but noita taught me well.

RL Craft was the first modpack I've ever played, and this is coming from someone who's played Minecraft since the Yogscast survived their first night in the game 13 years ago. I've never really gone out of my way to play those technical modpacks where you stay in one spot to build up a factory or whatever. As a fantasy adventure nut, seeing RL Craft appear as a challenging modpack that focuses on adventuring, leveling and combat, I was immediately amazed by the collection. I mean, what kind of psycho would put the First Aid mod (a mod that game ends you when your head and body part goes to 0) and the Ice and Fire mod (a mod with frickin dragons) together and think its a good idea? Its not. And thats the fun of it. Thats why I subscribed as soon as that RL Craft "guide" video came out. The madman behind this modpack makes me itching for more. Thank you too, Shivaxi, for an amazing experience. Here's to the future, big man 🍻 also Lycanites Redux was the best thing to ever be added into the game and nothing else matters
