Man, the shock and bitter frustration Marina must have felt finding out there was a clan of Octolings who didn't have to experience the aftermath and terrors of war and not even knowing or acknowledging it even ever existed. That initial gut reaction of hating the unfairness of it all; of being born in the wrong place and the wrong time, or at least that is my guess of how one would feel. If there is any consolation out of all the hardships Marina had to face, it's that she got the one thing she never thought she'd ever have or wanted: people who cherish her and vice versa. A life better than the one she thought she was fated to have underground. Amazing voice acting and editing really brought this to life.

Think about it. Marina was in an octoling clan that was struggling to survive day-by-day ontop of being in a brutal war. So to hear that there was a different clan of octolings that hadn't been forced into battle and were living relatively comfortable lives is a punch in the gut she wasn't expecting. For her there was only one way to live until she finally came to the surface and now she finds out that she was just extremely unlucky hurts. It'd make you question your entire life.

I’m so happy to see this comic getting dubbed as it’s one of my favorites that I’ve read. Frappe did an amazing job visualizing how an interaction between Marina and Shiver would go. Marina has been through a lot and seeing her being open to talk about it with Shiver was pretty wholesome. All the voice actors did great and I enjoyed hearing BethyVA’s role as Shiver! 💙

Hehe. Both vocal sides have an aura of calm, I can say for sure. I do see Beth being a Shiver for any dubs, in the future. Maybe any character that has a unique feeling and vibe, just going to say, you both did beautifully and the artist on this done gorgeously. Actually the great Turfwar which was about over 100 years ago where Inklings fought against the Octarians is history stuff so Shiver should actually know about this. I can't remember of any different... clan that was mentioned in the game

New preppy forehead and Classic short-tempered forehead, I think that would be wholesome. It could be about Frye opening up to Pearl about the forehead jokes or vice versa and there being a sudden plot twist where Frye actually finds the forehead jokes FUNNY, which Pearl admires, but also, admittedly, feels a little jealous of, due to Frye not having it as bad as she did. Frye then makes a joke about Pearl’s forehead herself, encouraging her to at least, try to laugh a little at it and not give the haters what they want. I know it sounds a little cliche, but still fitting, as both innings here unfortunately been victims of forehead memes
