I saw this tour at Middle Tennesse State University in the early '90s. I remember him doing an interview at the radio station I worked at at the time (WMOT). He was true gentleman. Kai Eckhardt was playing at that particular show. I was floored. What a great album. Thanks for the memories!

.. I saw him on this tour live back in 93 @ "Charles Ballroom" in Charles Hotel, Harvard sq!!!.. I was covered with sweet all during the whole concert! I'd say most surely, it was THE best EVER thing that i've experienced! Nothing can even remotely come close to it!.. Me and my friend went back stage afterwards and actually met with him and talk to McLaughlin for about 5min., believe it or not! THE greatest person you can ever meet! ..I remember the whole thing just like yeterday!...

Went to a gig of this band in '91 in Oz, Byron Bay, what a gig! Gurtu was stunning, they all were, brilliant! The only slight negative was with some sections of the crowd. It was in a RSL club & McLaughlin asked for quiet on a number of occasions during the quieter sections. Unfortunately drunken yobs at the bar were obviously not there for the performance! Still, a superb concert all the same!
