One of my fave Roxette hits, I love that chorus and the dual lead vocals. This is one of those songs they played a ton on the radio when it came out but then you didn’t hear it much after that. I was really little when this album came out but I still remembered it when I started listening to Roxette as an adult. You probably remember it from back then too.

Such a fun bubble gum pop tune. "Per's words" He always thought these style of songs were weak and this was the weakest song on album to his mind, hence why in the end he drops a little self deprecation at the end of this track when he says "Due to the exceptional weakness of this song. Play Loud". But this was there 3rd single and although it only got 2 or 3 in US it went #1 almost everywhere else.

This is so catchy. I've always loved it, the guitar solo going with the harmonica solo. There will be other songs you might recognize as having heard. I'm a bit surprised you didn't recognize It Must Have Been Love on the extras of Pearls of Passion as it's definitely one of their biggest hits partly due to the success of the movie Pretty Woman. It's a slightly different version, but only slightly. Probably their most played song.

Love it when the guitar seemlesley takes over from the harmonica 👍💖💖 If I'm correct, the words Per says in the fade out, are a little dig at the fact the artist he gave this song to originally sent it back as they said it was too weak !!!😏

This song reached the #2 position on the American Hot 100 billboard - was a BIG song for them. This is pop history in the making. If you don't like this song, you're wrong!!!!

Hi bro! can't wait your reaction of the song "Half a woman, half a shadow." Of these album. I think the vocal leve here is almost like in "Like lovers do". And yeah I agree she controls her voice simply perfect. You'll see it in next albums.

Love this still! It was HUGE here in South Africa. If I'm not mistaken, Per wrote this and offered it to Don Johnson (of all people), but he rejected it! I think Cascada did a dance remix in the mid 2000's but it doesn't come close to Roxette's version

@@sebzematik me too. I quickly had to make sure. Yes, Don Johnson rejected it and sent it back to Per. I'm listening to the new PG Roxete album now. I miss Marie's voice but on son of the songs you can actually hear her

@@riaanbehr7976 Don Johnson's music career was rather short-lived anyway. I haven't even listened to the last Roxette album as the sound was so different, so I'm still far from getting Per's recent work. I may even like his solo albums because I do enjoy his voice (and his music ofc as well), and maybe one day I will get into them. It's nice though to read that there are glimpses of Marie on the new album.

@@sebzematik I was very VERY nervous when I heard about the Pop up dynamo album... But what a pleasant surprise. The song where you can almost hear Marie the most is a song called You hurt the one you love the most (kind of the Listen to your heart of the album)... Awesome song. My fave is Debris which is like the Crash boom bang from the album. You and me and everything in between has a kind of Ace of base vibe. Headphones on is very very catchy and reminds me of Opportunity nox and Make my head go pop. It's really a great album and you can hear what Marie would have sounded like. Such a pity that most people don't know about Pop up dynamo, Good karma or Travelling. Great albums 👌👌👌

Don Johnson rejected it because it was too weak... that's why you can listen at the end a voice that says "Due to the exceptional weakness of this song, play LOUD!"

@@mattsnider2667 I actually like a lot of their music, but not as much as I could. The songs themselves are good, is the production that bothers me. It's that production that mid 90s housewives used to listen to.

@@mattsnider2667 true, she was a great singer RIP. And like I said I like the songwriting, but at times the arrangement is maybe just a little too syrupy? As you get into their 90's work they become a bit more advanced. I am a bigger fan of their 90's work... you will see :)

Alas, not really. At least not anytime soon (or without help). Unfortunately, I'm sort of low-tech and DIY, which has its benefits, but I'm not currently equipped or set up to react to videos currently. I have a friend who is great with tech, and he said he's like to help me in this regard, but he lives in another state and hasn't had time to visit recently. So maybe in the future, but not currently. Apologies, I wish I could do both types of reactions.
