Shnootz - Reaction Video (Roxette - Run to You)

What's shaking, folks! I'm back with another Roxette reaction from their 1994 album Crash! Boom! Bang!, and this time we listen to the lovely "Run to You," a song with gorgeous vocals by the one and only Marie, not to mention tasty production and some vocals in the back half from Per. Lyrically this song sounds sad but the music and Marie's vocals make it a happy song to me. Love the strings in this one. The whole album is great ❤

In the video of this song you can see Marie carrying on her baby during the C!B!B! 94/95 World Tour. She was born on 1993.

How I love this song! An absolute master pice! This is a very typical example of how Per makes music - the song sounds happy and feel goody, but it is actually deep and often dark.

This is a happy song for the most part perfectly created by Per for Marie and has a great official Video to go along with it. Which might help explain a lot for you as it was all shot on tour & shows Marie & Per as well as their families, i.e. Marie's partner Mykael, her little newborn little girl Josefin. So just consider how you would sometimes feel if your on tour and separated from your just newly created family you've been trying to create. To me it was also poignant in other ways as I was trying to help as best i could in the civil war that had broken out in the balkans, so run to you was my own anthem to remind me to get home when i could. It's also true to say from this point forward Marie started to focus more on family than Roxette. So some of the songs you hear sung by her from this point onward are pure one-takes. Where she would pop into the studio @ Per's insistence purely for an hour so to sing her lines once & then just leave to return to her family.

I've always loved this song. Some songs do take time to hit home with me, but this has been a hit with me right from the start. The strings building up feels great but doesn't go over the top. Everything just works perfectly together. Especially with the hint of melancholy, and hope. Love it. This one is on their Spanish collection too, some guy I can't remember the name of, translated (not directly, more to fit the story and melody) their ballads and Roxette released Baladas En Espanol to please South American demand for something more. They really were a big thing there.

Glad you are feeling a little bit better today! I don´t have an exact date but you started your Roxette journey sometime late last year and this is a great song to celebrate this one year anniversary!! This was single no. 4 and it should have done much better than it did. The next one is a real rocker.

In my opinion this is the 2nd best song Roxette has ever recorded. Marie, keeping it calm mostly and the musical arrangement is just pure heaven. Her voice really carries you into the song, believing the lyrics - I can even picture her world while she sings this. GREAT bridge, great backing vocals from Per. This is what music is all about.

The surprise single of the album, I was expecting Harley’s, but nevertheless I enjoy. Did quite well in the uk 🇬🇧 and sounded great live on tour. A few of my friends saw the title and thought it was a Bryan Adam’s cover version

There's another artist to, a sort of a one album wonder. A Canadian at that, and she collaborated with Bryan Adams too, so it's not like I'm completely trying to hijack this discussion...
