I love that this doesn't take much water but I found it incredibly awkward with the newborn, it will be stored away until baby can sit up!

Tried today with my 4 months old. Although she is leaning to backrest, she is basically sitting, which I do not find suitable for a baby not sitting by itself yet. I will use the bathtub when she will be ready, but I hope she will have enough room for butt and legs later, as it was ok at this time.

Hi, a baby sitting is same as in the car seat. For short periods it's 💯 safe. Always stay with baby and have fun bath time. X

This product is cosmetically very nice, however as previous comments have eluded too this is NOT for a new born!!!! I’ve a 9 week old (FJ) and we can’t bath her in it at all as she can’t hold her own head and it’s not possible to bath in unless someone supports the head then you don’t have hands free to bath FJ. I contacted shnuggle about this directly as we just couldn’t get FJ to bath without here falling forwards and becoming dangerous, after a 20 min phone call they sent me some pics of how it should be done and low and behold I tried to follow these and to no avail. I asked around 15 people to bath FJ in this and none of them could. I even went to Mamas and papas where we bought this from and they said , “Oh yes, I see what you mean” I asked shnuggle if they could show me a video of a new born being bathed and they said they don’t have any but here are the pics!!! I’d suggest that shnuggle change their product from new born to when they can support their own head weight. In the end I’ve spent over £50 for a bath and stand and it’s as much use as a chocolate tea pot.

Thanks for this review, really helpful. I was wondering how a newborn can be bathed in this..looking at its upright seat.May i ask what product did you land up using for your new born in the end?
