Pakistan should have won in 2007 as it was the strongest team in the whole tournament. In 2021, only England had better team than Pakistan but it choked in the semi final against New Zealand. As for Pakistan, it had one weak link which was the presence of out of form Hassan Ali. And he was the main reason Australia won the semi final. Pakistan would have easily thrashed New Zealand in the final as did Australia. The only time India was the strongest side in a T20wc was in 2016. Sri Lanka and India were even in 2014 wt20 final but Dhoni and Yuvraj were outclassed by Malinga's brilliance. 2012 wt20 overall was boring but you gotta give credit to Samules for providing entertainment in the final by taking Malinga to the cleaners. South Africa was the strongest team in 2009 wt20 but was outdone by an all rounder Afridi's heroics in the semi final. England deserved to win in 2010 and I believe England is stronger than Pakistan in this tournament as well.

I remember watching the match in Dhaka with my uncles, I was 12 at the time. Bangladesh was already out of the tournament but we were happy India and Pakistan made it to the final. Every time the match swung in Pakistan's favour we cheered loudly and heard cheers from all around the area. Every time the match swung in India's favour our appartment was silent but we could hear few cheers. When Misbah hit the scoop I thought for sure it was a boundary. Throughout the tournement he played so well. But when the catch was taken I was heartbroken.
