Shock leader knot tutorial - Sea fishing for beginners

In this video I show you how to tie a very simple but strong GT shock leader knot.. This knot is ideal for beginners as its very easy to tie .. Its a great knot for mono to mono lines.. Hope this helps please leave a thumbs up.

Looks quite a good knot for shockleader mate, I like the taper created by the mainline tag end, I expect that passes through the eyes nicely on the cast... thanks Michael 👍

Hi Mike cracking knot need to respond a couple of reels myself so will have give that knot a try I always use tapered leader as I prefer the smaller knot it makes great video come em coming

I use the same knott, but when I pull the leader figure of 8 I pull the main line through and cut of where the the leader has marked the main line.

Maybe just me but I personally wouldn’t be using plier like that to grip the line to pull it tight. I’d think it might damage the line.

It's the line you cut of mate the tag end so woudnt damage the actual line your using for fishing mate
