I just gotta applaud you Tim. From the start of the build to now this technical side of things has really been informative and eye opening. Few builders would take the time to do this.Great video,great series.

Can you talk about how fast you want to get up on the tire after the hit?

Such an excellent series!! Thank you guys! Very comprehensive. Subscribed for this very reason. Even though I am more track oriented than drag racing this was extremely helpful. Thanks again!

I’d be awesome if you could talk shock tuning for radial cars, seems like it is opposite? Idk, trying to learn, what I have learned it seems like if the track is tight then the shocks need to be tight.

Tim I listened to your explanation of track changes and the low gear being good but in the next Two gears you said that the tire gets square a little what I want to know is what about one click more rebound should fine tune enough to make it right how do you see this change

Does this work on most 4 link cars even bracket cars, my 9.30 backhalf car will rattle at the 60 on a really good or cool track, and i always thought tighten both to hold the tire but this makes a lot of sense, I'll try backing off the extension this week

Quick question if a car I'm part of is chrusibg the slicks and then going I to tire shake after the 1,2 shift the car Has just over 100 % anti squat how controllable is this with shocks with air dump or will it be a change in the I stant center and shock combination I know the car has enough hp to go into the 420s as is but anytime we add clutch or move the power closer to the 60 it shakes horribly

Tim, i have Penske 7500DA on my IRS Supra. I noticed that the dyno sheet you have shows stiffest EXT at -6. Does that mean i shouldn't go stiffer then that? On my car, if i go EXT -12, it lauches and stays down but at EXT -4, it seems to bounce back up without touching Compression. Is there a limit if EXT i should be going to?

Second this motion. The radial talk would apply to the promods as well because some of them put on radials to chase that money in RVW at several races

huh wait say that again. cooling down causes more traction ?!
@11ellswray5 жыл бұрын
On the hot days yes. There is an optimal temperature that you will have the best traction. It's not uncommon for a track on a hot summer day, lot's of sun, to get a little greasy. So then as the afternoon rolls on it can tighten up and get closer to that perfect temperature. The opposite can be true for a spring day or a fall day. Maybe all day the track temp was 85-95 degrees. Lot's of bite, but now the temp starts to drop and we start to lose traction. Maybe it's a night race and it's unseasonably cold. Then you can have real traction issues
