This is a POWERFUL idea and video. You should do more of those and pick a different animal each time if possible. I wonder if you can bring even the bigger animals to a stand on weekends on the beach close to passerby. I'm a fifty-three-year-old lifelong vegan. when I was younger and I had a pretty smart mouth! when people would say it just has a little bit of meat in it I would say if I said it had a little bit of cat crap and it would you eat it? then people would understand why I would beg them to not put something in my food without telling me because it was just a little bit. a little bit is eating it! I just murder a little bit. I just beat my kids a little bit. I honestly thought the world would be further along by now.

No I will tell you straight to your face that I eat meat. The reason people turn cowardly is because most vegans attack and belittle the people for eating meat. That's like me protesting that plants are friends, not food, and asking a vegan similar questions and then attacking vegans for eating plants and belittle them for their decision (s).

I used to be a huge bacon eater, got the super large fatty strips from Costco in bulk. Now I can't even stomach going down those same meat aisles at Costco, all I see are adorable pigs/chickens/cows etc heads when I see meat. I now see humans and animals as equals, and if I could never ever eat humans before when I was an omnivore then I shouldn't be eating our animal friends neither. Glad I finally made the connection 💚

Kristy B I do not believe in the harming of human life. Much like no one animal is greater than the other. That is why I never look down on non-vegans (as I used to be one myself). They need to make that connection for themselves when it comes to appreciating all life and that's including other human beings.
@Sky0fLov37 жыл бұрын
Kirsty B I was raised by a family who are huge meat eaters, we even raised chickens, ducks and pigs to eat. It took me in my late 30s to make the connection. I respect your views on humankind, I will not sit here and say I love everyone, but again I would never want to cause one harm or wish death on anyone. I have been in a very dark place in my life at one point where I tried to take my own life because I thought I was nothing but a worthless human being. In the end, I hurt people that I loved more than myself.
@Sky0fLov37 жыл бұрын
Kirsty B I haven't met every human being on the planet, but I have met some that I disliked very much. Some of them grew up and I actually like talking to them now. We humans are capable of change, animals are so neutral and can love us no matter what stage of emotion we project towards them (ie anger/hate). Animals are very forgiving creatures and that is something I strive to be myself. I have not only forgiven other people in my life, but I have forgiven myself for taking my own life for granted. It is a cruel world and is why we should be kinder to one another, vegans and non-vegans. My spouse went vegan for health benefits only. 5 months later after surpassing his 22 day vegan challenge he now tells me he does it for ethical reasons.
@lz.24407 жыл бұрын
Kirsty B I'm stalking you. Have a nice day!
@helen511007 жыл бұрын
So much love for this. The main point here for me is that when people say 'we are top of the food chain' 'its just natural for us to kill and eat animals' and then say that the emotions they feel when they see a pig are 'love, affection' that makes us want to care for them and protect them' and not 'hunger' well this is disproved entirely.
@infiniteworlds57 жыл бұрын
No, they feel love and affection for a cute lil baby piglet, because we are naturally wired to recognize 'baby' features, and want to defend them. Now, show them a big grumpy 300 pound hog, and they will not be nearly so smitten with it.
@helen511007 жыл бұрын
So you're saying looking at a pig would make us hungry? Like a lion looks at its prey? I don't know about you but when I look at a fully grown pig I have the exact same feelings of love, compassion and empathy towards that animal who I naturally see as innocent.
@infiniteworlds57 жыл бұрын
But you are the minority. And looking at prey animals only makes predators hungry when they are ALREADY hungry. If they aren't hungry they just ignore the prey.
@helen511007 жыл бұрын
Exactly. And by that logic we aren't hungry, we have plenty of other food to live and thrive on so by that logic we should just ignore the prey. That is exactly the logic my 'veganism' is built on. I think we all have the right to do what is necessary to survive but when it becomes a matter of greed not survival and we chose to inflict this mindless pain and suffering and unnatural slavery on animals just because we like the 'taste' of meat (only when it is cooked and seasoned) and dairy (only when it is bottled and not consumed straight from the cows udder) that is when it becomes immoral and unfathomable to me. Also you say 'I am the minority' but that is only due to fact we are conditioned since birth to think its okay and necessary to eat meat. Put a child in a garden with vegetables, fruit and a pig, which do you think they would eat? Also explain to the child the process of killing animals for food and show them all the slaughterhouse footage of what actually happens and tell them they can live a happy and healthy life without consuming meat, what do you think they would chose to do? If every child was raised in this way, the majority, not minority, would be vegan.
@scoopersketchy7 жыл бұрын
helen51100 this is because they have physical features that remind us of babys which makes us want to care for them other animals do this to such as cheetahs but that doesn't mean we aren't at the top because we are the strongest (intellectually of course )

What's wrong with speciesm? Do you honestly think a chicken has as much worth as you or your children?
@mattnicholson6 жыл бұрын
@@infiniteworlds5 I don't think you really understand the position that vegans hold. Vegans don't think that non-human animals are worth as much as humans. We just recognise that they ALSO matter. So for example, I believe that a human's life is worth more than a dogs life, but I recognise that the dogs life also matters. Are you starting to get it? I believe that a human's life is worth more than a pigs life, but to that pig, their life also mattered. If i have a choice to kill and eat my pet dog even when there are other options available then i'm causing unnecessary harm. It's the same thing here. Except instead of one dog, it's 75 billion animals annually. Hope that clears things up.
@infiniteworlds56 жыл бұрын
But speciesm literally means that people view one species as more valuable than the other, and most vegans use it as an insult.
@mattnicholson6 жыл бұрын
@@infiniteworlds5 Not quite, it's not about viewing one animal as more valuable, it's about treating other animals differently simply because they're a different species. Like how there's no difference between a dog and a pig (a pig is actually smarter than a dog) yet we cherish dogs because they're furry and say 'bark' but we torment pigs because they're pink and say 'oink'. There's no moral difference between the two that justifies differences in behaviour, it's just because a pig is a different species that we feel it's okay to treat them differently. I don't think a pig is as important as a human, just like i dont think a dog is as important as a human, but i recognise that the pig deserves similar treatment as how i would treat a dog because there's no moral difference between the two. We're not asking that animals have a right to vote or right to bare arms, just that they have a right to not be harmed and left alone.

@bonziebon 300 I'd have to disagree mate. Humans are not designed to eat meat. Talking about canines, do you know that hippos have the largest set of canines (yes, larger than lions) in the animal kingdom and yet their diet consists of fruits and plants mainly. Compare that to a human canine. There is no nutrient that you can't get from plants (even B12). You can literally thrive healthily on plant-based food. This, eating meat is not a "survival necessity". We eat mainly for convenience, taste, and most people harbor the wrong idea that animals are there "for us to consume". Friend, animals are here "with us" and have been here long before we ever existed. On Earth there is no single "food chain", it's more like complex networks of ecosystems. And we have no right to exploit another. No ill will intended. I'm just trying to educate. Cheers, mate:)

great outreach! I think a lot of people were initially distracted by the cuteness, but it definitely made them a lot more willing to see your side of things with the animal in front of them.

Joey, you are such an amazing person who's down to earth that I can't describe my feelings about how grateful I am for you and your compassion for animals. I hope one day all animals will be free forever without any animal abusers around them. And I believe that day is sooner than ever.

TheFettuck indeed plants are a lot more clever and aware than people give them credit for plant neurobiology is just a fascinating subject in general tbh. We just generally mistake them as inanimate due to them growing fairly slowly
