Can we just talk about how PERFECT the instrumental is, and how wel the genre changes are timed? •You have the ragtime in the beginning conveying a false sense of security. •You have the techno rock for Anxiety trying to change Riley’s mindset, only for the rock guitar to slowly take over. •You have the dubstep, which makes up some the most generic FNF crap ever, protraying Anxiety desperately trying to look cool until she absolutely LOSES IT. •You have the slow, somber music with Joy joining in. •You have the tempo picking back up again, but just when you think it’s gonna spiral into disaster again, Joy helps Anxiety feel better and take control. •And finally, ALL of the previous genres and instruments combine together to make an a duet that, at first glance, seems really underwhelming, but deep down, is really hertwarming and perfectly shows both of them working with the wach other and the music, not against it. This literally combines everything we love about Inside Out 2 and everything we love about FNF, and the result is a fucking MASTERPIECE. This is your Magnum Opus, Mike. Be proud of yourself.

This is what Friday Night Funkin' is for me. Memes of the FNF community being brainrot kids are supported by songs like Ballistic or Sporting, but not all songs are brainless keyboard-mashing. This song isn't one of my favorite of all time, but it'd be lying to deny how good of a song it is. It has entertaining rhythm, but it doesn't lack beauty nor grace. You don't need words nor visuals to understand the state Anxiety is in. This song is excellent, and I wish people would use it to represent FNF as a whole.
