I learned a few years in high school and have been brushing up on Spanish the past few years and have visited Mexico City and Cancun recently. Even if you speak broken Spanish and don't comprehend every word people appreciate you learning their native language. I was in a cab in Mexico City for 40 minutes during rush hour and was speaking with the driver the whole time talking about music, the city, my family, America etc. Even though I only know the basics the cab driver seemed really appreciative and cool about it as he didn't speak any English. It also comes in handy at flea markets where you can practice haggling with people. I recommend Mexico. The food, culture and people are awesome.

That was really good. Just to add, once I had a conversation with a chinese woman in BCN and she did the same thumbs up gesture + facial expression as the waitress on the video. I found her gesture a bit strange since the woman lived for a few years in Madrid. However, now I understand that it is simply cultural. Gestures and facial expressions are cultural. That is the beauty to know foreign languages, you will be able to undestand them better. Thank you for sharing your content.

у китайцев столько интонаций в языке- вроде правильно все говоришь, а не так)) сын недавно рассказывал- гуляли по улицам Тянцзыня, какой то дед заговорил с ними, познакомился, и стал помогать, тренируя произношение. подключилась еще пара китайцев. сын говорит, вроде произношу фразу один в один за этой парой, а дед не понимает... хотя в принципе китайский ему дается легко и с удовольствием...
