Another great fact about Indian Army is that despite being so powerful and enjoying 100% of popular support, it never involved itself into politics. Even during hard times like emergency, in wider view, army distanced itself from politics. Emergency was dark period, but we grew as a democracy by democratically handling that period.

I can still remember those days when I was a small child, my father was posted to Ladakh, we couldn't even get to communicate for months, he got chest pain, having facilities still they got chapped bleeding hands due to extreme cold ; he shared an incident, he was on the border( LAC-separating Ladakh and aksai chin) with the team, they got staled puris to eat which was on that snowy hill, with death on the front taking tanks. I used to cry every time missing him, get to sleep thinking of him weeping silently missing him so much and on the other hand leaving their families, facing those painful problems they all- standing on the border for the whole nation. AFTER ALL, THEY ARE INDIAN ARMY 🧡🤍💙🤍💚

I stayed there for 5 days, and it was the best time of my life, although I got conferenced out after 5 days, but I learned a lot from the officers. My wife's Aunt is head of microbiology in Goa Medical and was in the front-lines when the first COVID 19 outbreak happened in 2020 After the situation was brought under control, the Indian Navy showered flowers from the air over the staff of the institute to salute the brave medical professionals putting their lives in jeopardy for the people.
