WOW! You have the fullest percentage I've come across as I watch these results (and wait for mine to get in). Congrats! I too have done the Ancestry.com DNA test to learn about my ancestry, and also the Family Tree program and have found I have roots in both South Carolina and Alabama...I've been able to trace back as far as 1819! For African American people, that's pretty mind-blowing, and empowering. I'm trying to find out which plantation my great-great-great-grandfather and mother were on at that time. Like Roots, it would be amazing to learn more of their actual stories, if that were possible. I applaud your encouraging others to take advantage of talking to the elders while they are here...once they are gone, you lose the opportunity to fill in the lines with stories about those courageous souls that went before us. Great message!

+Abraham Coakley Have you seen most of the African American dna videos on here most get 82% or higher and what are you claiming African Americans are not black ? Lol seriously are you self hating
@nickjohnson14268 жыл бұрын
The funny thing and this is not meant to be purposely offensive (but if it is not my problem I am entitled to my own opinion) Is that Black Americans claim whites are racist or discriminating on black people because supposedly we see dark skin as inferior yet a lot black Americans want to be white! Isn't that stupid how the ones obsessed with whiteness and Europe is black people themselves. I think secretly black people think their own skin is not good enough or that their race or African roots are not good enough it's not white people's fault it's themselves. Seriously this hypocrisy needs to stop

Wow. I'm shocked too. I expected you to be about 80 to 90% but your almost a pure blood. Cool. And then I was shocked because I expected you to have more Nigerian but it's barely there. Either way, it's still good news and always good to know who you are and what you come from. But as far as the hair thing you mentioned about your curls poppin, I think as African Americans we are still growing and still coming to understand what true African features are. And a black person with naturally silky and/or curly hair can still be a pure blooded african. It doesn't always mean we have to have other races mixed in our bloodline to have what's called, "good hair". Its shocking to most to know that African Features are not limited to kinky hair and dark skin. Pure blooded Africans ranges from dark skin to light skin, from kinky to curly to straight hair, from dark eyes to blue, green, & hazel eyes, and from black hair to red to blonde. Proving that all races come from black people not the other way around. AFRICANS: THE MOST DIVERSE PEOPLE kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKO1mICae7dmiK8

Good post...and since you so eloquently brought up the "mixed message" regarding people who long for an Indian mix, while having a majority representation or percentage from the actual Motherland, the root Continent...and representatives of the original people of the Earth...there lies an obvious indicator of a level of ingrained and willing self-depreciation amongst people of African descent - nurturing an European influences about what "looks good." The Indian's biology was formed by Asian...Asians, like every other people of the planet, formed by horn of African migration...but back to your video... (Proving Hairy Discourse)🌍
