Neal you have far more dangerous animals in USA than we do in Australia - Black and brown bears, cougars, mountain lions, black widow spider which is equivalent to our red back, poisonous snakes that can kill you, great white sharks.

Melbourne weather is fcuked. For example, it was 38°c (100.5°f) yesterday and today it’s 15°c (59°f) and pissing down rain.

Tell me about it. Aircon maxed out yesterday, wearing a jumper today. Some of those slang terms I've never heard. 'Cigarette' is commonly called 'ciggie', 'durrie', or 'lung torpedo'.

There is actually a magpie season and it’s the only time of the year they swoop, that’s when they are hatching in the spring. That koala sitting on a person while driving is an easy photoshop pic. Man can’t you tell most of these are altered pics, I’m 62 and learn photoshop 3 years ago and most of the odd pics are altered in photoshop. We sometimes refer to the world as up side down because everyone says we’re on the bottom of the plant because “who told England and America the northern hemisphere is the top of the world. It all comes down to who drew the maps first. If it had been and aboriginal Australian go exploring first then we would have been classified as the top. It’s an arbitrary concept based on the map makers. I remember asking the why we drawn Aussie on the bottom as a young child and dad saying it’s because that how the rest the world said it is. So our generation decided to own it and call it the land down under as a tongue-in-cheek thing.

They say we are upside down as we are down under, on the butt of the planet lol

That was good, but probably an English sense of humour used more there and the slang was mostly wrong, but some were funny! 😂

I've never heard most of those names for things Neal, Mate is correct as you know but I've never heard hte rest but language and expressions can differ across the country.. The guy standing in front of the blank Canvas showing the animals that "will not" kill you in AUstralia, lol is a man named Bob Ross, he had a Tv show teaching people how to paint. Look him up on here, he was so good, R.I.P. Also, check out Mr Squiggle The Man from the Moon, kids would draw a squiggly line on paper and post it to Mr Squiggle the man from the moon, who was a puppet with a pencil for a nose and he would turn that squiggle the kid drew into a clever pic on his TV show. Both were very clever people, the Australian government released a $1 coin commemorating Mr Squiggle a few years ago. I think you would like both shows. Also do some reactions to Rodney Rude and Kevin "Bloody" WIlson, if you haven't already, I think you will like them both.

The earth is a ball floating within an all encompassing universe. You could come at the globe from any angle. If you were in a flying saucer heading towards the Southern Ocean between Australia and Antarctica, and having to raise your eyes upwards to see and approach the coast line of Antarctica, you would see that ice cap as being at the top of the globe. If someone living in, what has come to be known as, the Southern Hemisphere had circumnavigated the globe first, then the globe on the stand in the classroom, would have most countries on the bottom of it. Which would make more sense because the area of the most and heaviest land masses should be at the bottom.....cos....gravity. 👽🛸🙂 👽🛸🙃
