Hell even the twin turbo v6 in the ct4 blackwing makes more horsepower than this as well as the lt2. Ford has pumped out 500 hp from their 5 liter and im pretty sure the 485 hp rating from dodge is underrated. So yea chevy needs to up the power of the lt1. Then again with slow sales of the camaro, they don't see the reason to spend the money on a new more powerful camaro

GM did a sorry job on this car! This is why I cannot support government motors. They take nice cars and trash them! The Camaro never got an engine hp upgrade (which is just plain stupid) on their part! The ZL1 should be making well over 700 hp but they don’t want it,”faster than the Corvette “ bs! This is a sad time for the Camaro! They let the car go out like some chumps! GM will never get my money anymore I’m done

And people say S650 Mustangs are expensive lmao, 49k for a Camaro SS that have no increase of horsepower, and 90k for the ZL1 with the same engine as before 😂😂😂

@@dave5833 right, but how would you know? Do you have insight to their internal financials, forecasts, etc? So it's kind of silly to say if it's good or bad business. it's always easy to judge decisions from the outside when you have just about zero knowledge of any internal information.

In September, 1966 I entered the 9th grade in Hampton Junior High, in Detroit, Michigan. The trauma of my mother’s divorce action from a Highland Park Ford assembly plant worker was dwindling while my love for the Detroit muscle car generation was coming of age. Ford was pushing the Mustang, Pontiac was holding its own with the GTO, Olds introduced the 442, and Chevy had the Chevelle Malibu. At 14 years of age and no muscle car enthusiasts in the family circle, I was still dreaming of a new bicycle to debut for Christmas of ‘66. When my aunt came home from Sunny SoCal to Detroit to visit, Aunt Dette convinced my mother to pull up stakes and move to California where I experienced bright sunny winter days, all kinds of foreign and domestic cars, and my first site of a ‘67 Camaro. Let me know if you would like to hear more of my history in the muscle car world. I have to get to work where at 71 years of age, I am playing my role at building Freightliner trucks in Mt. Holly, N.C. 👍🏾😎💪🏾

Thank you for sharing even this much. Cars have always brought milestone memories in my family, too. The first car I ever recall riding in was my father's 64 black Buick Wildcat. As a tiny child, I would sit on his lap and "steer" the car. In my little brain, I was driving the Batmobile. So happy! God bless you!

I wish chevy did more with the Camaro! like how ford and dodge do new things with there cars each year. They should have told people how it have better handling then the challenger and mustang . Also some people put it up with the m2 and or m4. They should have more ADs and put more engines in it like the blackwing from cadillac and the LT2 LT5 and LT6 from the c7 and c 8 corvette. I also wish they made a new z28 and z28 1LE with the black wing 4.2L twin turbo V8 . 550hp and lightweight as they could be have to be with the GT350 and GT 350R. Also a 755hp LT5 Camaro to go with the GT500 and hellcats maybe that would have save the Camaro! or at least the could go out with a bang like dodge.

They should have put the lt5 in the zl1. A 755 horse Camaro would have given it the credit it deserved. The competition just simply outdone them. Hellcats and gt500's just walk Zl1's and customers that want these types of cars want the baddest option.

AND NOW THEY HAVE ALL THESE DIFFERENT OFFERS THAT WE CAN CHOOSE FROM AS IF WE CAN BUILD OUR OWN CAMARO EVEN WITH A V8,BUT THEY SAID THE V8 WAS GONNA BE NO MORE,JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE.
