I remember watching DR D at Stampede Wrestling back in the (early 80's)?
@buddyrogers13532 жыл бұрын
I marked out for Dr D. from his first day in WWF until his last. As I replay the Stossel incident in my head, at first, I recalled David doing what Austin said. Then I thought a little harder and said no. 35 years fogs memories. I think the confusion over people misremembering what David actually did stems from Barbara Walters interviewing and laying a lot of momma-type sympathy on Stossel after the piece aired, beginning with 'Oh, John...' and Stossel claiming to her that as a result of the incident he had suffered hearing loss.

@evellegend2 жыл бұрын
You know what's ridiculous about this is besides the fact that John Stossel has claimed he was cuffed on both ears all these years later including on a podcast last year where he also claimed Dr D may have taken speed prior to the interview (his words not mine). Why would anyone think otherwise including Austin and Lawler. The first slap can't be seen the second slap is anybody's guess where it really connected but Stossel claims it was on the ears so why would anyone think otherwise. Regardless of where the truth maybe I find it silly to get mad at two people like Austin and Lawler who were simply repeating what has been said over the decades by the guy who got slapped.

@twk8520 Жыл бұрын
You can tell in the man's eyes when he was wrestling it's cold and dark. Yeah the reporter tried to provoke a lion and got the bite. As a veteran reporter he should have seen the signs of an act and legit tough guy angry. It's just sad the man's career ended that way. Not sure why he cares what Steve said anyone looking would see the reporter was done for either way. For the reporter to make such a deal of it is rediculous considering other reporters get sent to war zones he looked like a whiny wimp. Be angry but not act like the guy caused you brain damage that's just drama and stupid.

@@TheHannibalTV Whether we like it or not, we have to play the game. We're in it already whether we like it or not. For me and my life I figured I might as well play the game, the political side of it, I'm right in the middle of it so let's play, hahahaha. But I don't screw anyone over, I just make sure I'm there. I know there's a lot of politics in wrestling but being the owner of your company can you stay out of them or are you more involved in them? Obviously I would think the politics are more when your dealing with other companies, wrestlers, etc. Like my Dad use to say, The biggest thieves are the ones with the keys, lol. Anyways I always watch your show and interviews. I love professional be wrestling ever since I was a kid. If I would've kept my nose clean I think I could've been a professional wrestler at least a writer. I had some good scenarios I use to think of, I just never followed up on them. Sometimes I would email them to Vince but I never heard anything back. I am a wrestling fan, since the early 80's. My first live match was Hogan vs Orndoff. Anyways, I enjoy your channel.
