I thought that Clearlake was like a silent partner and would have no involvement in the running of the Clubs operations and maybe that was the plan at the beginning but being a majority shareholder it was impossible to sit on the sideline and do nothing. I don't know! who would be the better owner, there has been too much speculation and not enough concrete evidence for me to form a bias opinion. I just hope, whoever is awarded the ownership of our club, we can back and proudly support.

If anyone truly believes the Clearlake model is to “buy young for longer running success” I’ve got a beach front home on the tropical island of Alaska to sell you 😂. Their model is buy young (cheap) sell later (profit). They are an investment firm. If You really think Clearlake would turn down 100 mill for palmer then there’s no help available to you, it’s over for you. Boehly HAS to win the club if we want to see any form of worthwhile title in the next decade.

What is your take on the money they splashed on Caceido and Fernandez? They will never get that money back.
@JamesAttwood-f3m3 ай бұрын
@@bigben8272 no they won’t. Even the most stupid of owner needs a marque signing, a poster boy if you will. Enzo and caicedo are those signings. They’ll never amount to it but that’s why they were bought.

How much for your house? It sounds splendid. How did the experienced player scenario work out? Sterling, Kaulibaly, Aubemayang, how much did they earn, and how well did they perform. I think an experienced 20-25 year old is much smarter. If all Boehly wants to do is what everyone else does, I am definitely with Clearlake. Win or lose today, this will surely bear fruit in the future.

It don't surprise me that Boehly is the one with sense after all he has experience in running a sports franchise and taking them from poor to the best. All Chelsea fans need to send a message to the board possibly with chants for Boehly because Clearlake are in it for profit at the expense of success whereas Boehly is in it for profit through being consistently successful. Look how much Clearlake spent on young players who's value will grow compared to how little they spent on players at a peak age. Look how clearlake sold some of our best players because they are academy players so pure profit. I know he seems like the underdog in this battle but we need to hope Boehly somehow wins the battle

Todd Boehly knows nothing about football he ask Tuchel to play 4-4-3 that man brought Potter and Lampard to the club also he brought in Pochettino and wanted him to stay after the horror season. And stop mentioning the Dodgers he has nothing to do with their success he is not their owner just an investor.

I'd be happy if they all would bugger off. I think you rate Boehly to highly. It was him who sacked Tuchel, it was him that was totally embarrassing in Europe with transfers, it is Boehly with this bleeding Data model and I would not be surprised if he got rid of all the backroom staff as well. For me he is just as guilty as Clearlake in trying to destroy our club, they are arrogant and out of their depth as the last two years have confirmed. We still haven't got a decent striker FFS! Basics 101.

How do you know it was him who sacked tuchel and the rest of what you said. Apparently none of us knew the reach clearlake has had this whole time. Yes boehly made a mistake with sterling and mudryk, but he was being competitive, and that is what has been missing since Egbahli took over
@Monochromatic_Spider3 ай бұрын
@@justinnemesis1 Boehly wanted to buy Ronaldo. That's what "being competitive" means to him. Just buy some mish-mash of big names at stupidly inflated prices and then be stuck paying crazy wages without any sporting return for years on end. We got rescued on the Koulibaly deal, we're still stuck with Sterling, and Mudryk isn't likely to go anyway because we can't afford to sell him at a price anyone's willing to pay.

@@justinnemesis1 What about Koundes and Lukaku, we were a laughing stock. And yes of course it was Boehly, he was dragging him all over Europe with failed negotiations and Tuchel was going through a divorce at the time. You don't think it is Boehly that uses the Data model? Wow.

@Monochromatic_Spider3 ай бұрын
I get so worried when people start saying things like "boehly agrees with the fans". Boehly wanted to bring superstars from day one, and before Eghbali put his foot down, that's what he was doing. And we're still hurting because he did. Dumping huge money on washed up superstars does not elevate us. It does not enable us to win anything. And let's not forget, Boehly wanted effing Cristiano Ronaldo, with all the issues that would cause. The young talent way is slower but it does have the advantage of actually being feasible and not bankrupting us in the process. And anyone who doesn't think Cole Palmer with some support is good enough to win something, is just not paying attention. He's going to be Hazard tier pretty soon, and unlike back when we had Hazard, we now actually have a pretty significant supporting cast. The risk, then. Will Clearlake fold in search of short term profit? Will they sell Palmer if someone bids 100 mil for him? It is possible but I actually don't think so. Selling Palmer nets them nothing. They want the value of the club to peak in 2032, when they can sell off the club. For that to happen, the team has to compete. Selling Palmer does not achieve that goal. The thing that does appeal a lot to me with Clearlake, however, is that their approach does appear somewhat realistic. Buy ten kids, sell the 9 that didn't become a world class player, and use the proceeds to buy another ten kids. Rinse and repeat until you have maxed out team. It's not pretty but there's no reason why it can't work. And anyone saying anything about "experienced players", tell me what good any of the lot Boehly bought for "experience" were? Additionally, Boehly wanted to keep Poch. In the short term, that might have made more sense but Poch was definitely not a long term solution. It took him until Enzo got his surgery to do something about a midfield that had failed to perform all season. Even then, the best description of Poch's plan was chaos football, and the physical workload was unhealthy. That Boehly was so adamant on keeping Poch anyway, to me, is also a bit of a warning light.

Thanks good video. My view is that Boehly wants to buy established stars and get Chelsea winning you can see that in the tramsfer windows when Boehly was running things. Egbali is purely profit minded I agree with @user-if6bx1gq5w. Boehly is the lesser of two evils if we are stuck with the current structure. Boehly wanted Poch in to continue with progress Egbali wanted Poch out. Boehly wanted more collaboration from Tuchal but he wanted to focus on football only the irony being that the structure they have now with set piece department, sporting directors etc would suit Tuchal however he wouldn't be on-board with all the young talent we are purchasing. What a mess.
