Hundreds of Rangers fans piled into the home end at Old Trafford last night, causing fights in various places and lots of Manchester United fans to feel unsafe. After the Galatasaray shambles last season, fans were told it would never happen again. It did, and something has to be done.

This isn't on the club, it's down to the people who sold their tickets to Rangers fans. Also note, there are Rangers supporters who are also MUFC supporters. They didn't "pile into" the ground, they went through the turnstiles with tickets. Club can't do anything about this - in fact they've been trying to stamp out the private transfer of tickets, which has been strongly opposed by MUFC supporters. The responsibility for this lies with the people who committed the violence, and the people who sold them the tickets.

A well known Ranger vlogger was in the Bobby Charlton Stand last night near the Rangers fans. He was told to unzip his coat after he went through the turnstile which he did to show he was wearing a Rangers away shirt. The steward just looked and waved him through. He thought it was hilarious given the club`s statement about away fans not being allowed in the home sections. That`s a joke.

We sat in the home end (Stratford end) and everyone around us were magic. Your video doesn’t pinpoint the real faults. Your club did put in place that you needed a membership before the draw. However. Some of our fans had them before it but the main reason most of us got them was down to your own support. Re selling tickets in person and onto ticketing websites. If your fanbase can’t fill the home end then things like this will happen. Fans who actually will take the seats will take advantage of that.

Season tickets aren't purchased by man u fans, they are bought by touts that sell to tourist fans on 3rd party websites. My Dad brother and nephew purchased 3 seats together the day before the match. There weren't just 40 or 50 Rangers fans in the home end, there were thousands. Rangers have a huge following and will always find ways to watch their team.

I'm a rangers fan who got 2 tickets for me and a mate in the west stand through a Manchester contact. Our plan was to watch the game, sample the brilliant stadium and atmosphere while paying respect to Denis law in our own way. We tried to blend in and stay quiet and be respectful as its not our stadium and not our home. I was flabbergasted at the amount of gers fans who were all around us. We thought it would just be us 2. Must admit I don't blame the home fans who reacted with punches etc. I was also shocked at the lack of action from the stewards and police. For a good 5 mins after rangers scored there was fighting happening in several areas and no intervention. We reckon if united didn't get a winner then we would have got severely battered. Apologies to man u fans I'd have been angry and offended if away fans did this at ibrox and I'd have been up for scrapping too.

It wouldn't happen at Ibrox because it's rare for home fans not to want to go. Very rare for Rangers tickets to be on resale for big games. That, and away fans would need to be pretty bold to do what Rangers fans regularly do. Rangers do it because of numbers. You always know you're not alone, anywhere. If a large number of away fans sat in the home seats at Ibrox and started cheering, they'd be out in minutes. Escorted by cops or on stretchers

In short, its a facts not feelings thing.....In case you wanted an explanation then feel free to read on. When it comes to logical judgement at this level of football it can only be on the end result in my opinion. For instance, they don't award half a goal because the defender who lost it is under 25, and they don't give you double goals if it's your debut an your under 21 etc. The stats just show what happened and to who, and an important stat in modern football is mistakes leading to direct chances on goal, which in this instance, Collyer contributed to. So all I'm saying is that it should be factored in to the factual analysis of his performance, which I'm sure Amorim (or any successful coach) will do, but that doesn't take away from the positive feeling about the performance and the player, which are deservedly high considering the context.

i felt like refs treat us differently ever since Klopp made that penalty comment about us a few years ago, but it genuinely got so much worse. almost every game we get huge calls against us and its almost certain every game that either a completely fine goal of ours doesnt get counted or obvious fouls and penalties dont get given. its ridicoulus what im seeing. every fifth handball gets counted as a pen for us. and then you read news that the FA thinks about punishing the club for posting "justice" after a game.

@fleshen yes they absolutely are. And I'm not saying that refs are the reason why we're in such a bad place. I don't want to put the blame on the refs. The team is playing horrible without a doubt, but you can't deny that the refs are performing just as bad. It just makes it harder to get back on your feet. A refereeing decision shouldn't change the outcome of the game, but since we're so bad at the moment and struggle to wrap games up, these decisions can and are biting us more often than not since we're never far away from drawing or losing a game. Small things but they stack up over a season. And regarding how it was in the glory days... I can't talk much about that, since that was just a few years before I got into football

Sam, away fans from these European matches have been getting tickets in home sections for the last two seasons. I sit from row touchline south stand towards east stand corner flag. I’ve seen Bayern Fans, Turks, Dutch, Norwegian and Greek fans scattered all around the front rows of the South Stand. The stewards aren’t interested. I asked one during the Paok game who will take responsibility if trouble flares up between the fans and his response was a wobble of the head, and wag of the hand , a laugh and a no no no. 🤨😳 There’s clearly something the club is doing wrong. They just won’t admit it.

I wouldn't sell Garnacho. He's good enough, young enough and on decent wages. Even if he doesn't become first team caliber, it's difficult to see us replacing his value, especially in the January market. The only reason the club are considering his sale is that all those features make him our most sellable player. Unless someone gives United an exceptionally generous offer, I'd keep him for now.

They should give 15% to the away fans if there is demand. They used to give the whole upper tier of the East Stand, with up to 8k away fans can be allocated. I'm sure I remember this done for Liverpool when United played Liverpool in the Europa League. They had the whole of the upper tier and the usual away corner.

The season ticket pricing is a poor strategy, MU is only penalising the most committed and loyal supporters, and that is unfair. They could easily increase pricing for casual buyers without season tickets, and also their store items. Season ticket holders could use their membership number to pay less for store items.

I was in the NE stand for the Europa League tie about 10 years ago when it all kicked off there too, absolutely no planning, including when they let the fans out. I could see the away end being let out and knew we would run straight into them at the front of the stadium, which we did, the scum fans still have flares, there was absolute war. It was the first proper match I had ever brought my girlfriend to and she never wanted to go again.

Scum fans ? You do know that not so long ago Man U had the biggest group of hooligans in the UK causing havoc wherever they went. I still remember when they were in Glasgow attacking scarfers and women and children and anyone wearing a Rangers scarf, so don't try and make out Man U fans are whiter than white. The reason for the inconsistency in the two decisions is that the ref on field gave both decisions and VAR didn't over rule either. Looking from a purely were they weren't they fouls I completely agree that both were not fouls. But I understand why one was given and one wasn't. They want consistency but not over the on field ref decision unless its a clear and obvious error. And neither were. You could argue foul or no foul for both. But neither were enough to over rule the on field decision. As a Utd supporter its annoying but I get this inconsistency.

My Season Ticket is in that E332 block and it was like that for PAOK and last night. Spoke to stewards who have no real power and to be fair not sure a few stewards could deal with hundreds of Rangers fans. Need more police and the club need to sort the ticket app. Absolute shamble its worse now than it was a few years ago.

Its the free tickets given to business etc by the clubs that get resold why this happens. Its the clubs themselves that cause this. Same thing happened at Arsenal v Koln. The club tried to blame AFC red members for selling their tickets and banned red members from buying tickets for the next game. Next Euro game no red members but still full of away supporters in exactly the same places. Clubs are just in it for the money and dont care about the fans
