I'm really glad to see CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 is still arguably one of the best bangs for the buck. I topped mine with Gliss, but have not done anything by way of testing durability. I just assume I'll need to reapply in 1-2 years, realistically. What's really surprising is how cost effective and yet high performing the Gyeon lineup is.

I've tried more low end protectants than I'd like to admit and for Ceramic based products, Griots 3-1 Ceramic spray wax is by far the most durable. For slightly more work to apply and way more slickness and Gloss- Turtle Wax 75th Anniversary Ceramic and Graphene paste wax is F'ing phenomenal. For paint that has some depth and darkness to it, that is the best paste wax I've ever used.

I Drive it daily up here in Toronto Canada, through all kinds of crap weather. Its parked in a condo underground overnight, but outside during the day. Shampoo infused with Graphene?? What's the point of that
@atomicslam15893 жыл бұрын
@@KiranPatel-fk1pg My question, as well. Not knocking the product, or Ray's comment, I'm just a bit cornfused as to how that would work... I love Adam's products, but they've fallen pray to the typical car-detailing market, and creating products that are either completely re-dundant, or altogether unnecessary. But, their base product line is spectacular.

So just a question shouldn’t the ones that lasted longer than their claim get a better rating for durability? Like the 303 3 months but still there nearly 6 months in?
@LuisNY3 жыл бұрын
I also think the pointing system is not accurate... But over or under performance should not count on the pointing system... A true result would be the lowest cost per application and how many times it needs to be applied to protect the paint for 12 months, easy of use must also consider how many times it needed to be applied for that 1 year protection.
@project.jericho3 жыл бұрын
@@LuisNY I'm personally looking for predictable effectiveness, I do not care about the lowest cost per application at all. Yes, we fetishize the cheap seats but I want the best, price be damned.
@LuisNY3 жыл бұрын
@@project.jericho understandable, that is your video and your opinion... But not everyone will always look to buy the best available, especially in a overcrowded market where the best product may be marginally better than the second, 5x more expensive and almost impossible to apply properly.... You need to change your durability score for Gyeon CanCoat. You have an error in there saying it is a “3” when it should be “10” I’ve actually used this on my parents vehicle and am going on 10-months and it looks very good still. Almost the same as the day I put it on. I actually was hoping it wouldn’t last as long as I like to try new products on their vehicle.

Jason, as always, thank you for the longer term reviews. I use TC as a QD after maintenance washes, couldn't be happier with the price vs durability, which was much longer than I thought possible for a spray on protectant. I am a big fan on the Cancoat, here in Australia the product is reasonably priced and it last 9-12m. Ie after 9m in the summer heat and rain you will be able to spot weak points. It goes on very well and is newbie friendly. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to have a play with lite versions of the coatings. Out of interest, in the video body, you gave it a 10/10 however on Excel in the beginning of the video it only scores 3/10?
@bbdetailing91233 жыл бұрын
Great follow up. Liked your point system. Somewhat surprised by some products. I've started using Can Coat myself and have been very pleased with it. For as easy as it is to use, it seems to be fairly long lasting. I have my own tests going, since I need to see what works in my environment, but I can say I'm really liking the Poorboy's World coating. Inexpensive, nice looks, and it is still going on the durability side.

I personally use the 303 spray coating as more of a ceramic coating. The application seems to go smoother if you treat it as such and use an application sponge. I also use Mothers ceramic wash additive in my snow foam gun and I gotta say that combo is fantastic. After 6 months the 303 was still behaving like it was new on the upper half of the car but the lower portion of the car was a little less hydrophobic. I’ve reapplied another layer of 303 and will be using Q2M wet coat every month after every second wash to see if that helps keep the coating more intact.

CSL/EXO, CarPro UK 3.0, and most likely GlassParency’s Graphene First two are tried and tested coatings on the market, the last one is an upcoming company that has really promising results.

Mate are you serious..? You wanna apply something that lasts 2-3 years. Be realistic and expect 6 months to a year bro max nothing lasts that long it’s all bullshit

Crystal serum light is a 5 year coating. I would expect more from them. I have crystal serum black with EXO and after 3 years is holding up well

Seen you/ the lexus heading towards Chicago on I57 about a month or so ago and it was raining. Kinda giggled to my self waiting for this video to come out to see what product won.

I use Nu Finish. I don't wash my car often, nor is there much rain here in Arizona. So, for $8 bucks, it's not bad, and I get about 5 months before I see a need to re-apply.

Thanks for doing this! It saves people like me money on the products they don't need for the ones that give the best results

I am not a detailer. I am looking for a happy homeowner ceramic coating. I don't have a problem with cleaning ,clay baring the car/truck both white. It is confusing when looking at ceramic/graphene coatings. How can they warranty up to 10 years? what coating do you suggest for a someone who wants the longest protection possible?

Tec582 monthly is the best performing product I've ever used... it takes 10 mins to do the whole car, and a $40 gallon can last you probably 5 years used that way... doesnt have the curing time like Beadmaker and is less finnicky to apply... I used to do the same thing with Megs Synthetic Xpress Wax which also worked great, but Tec582 is just a bit better

Shouldn't the products that required a second coat be double the price per oz since you have use twice as much. Price per application is more important than price per oz.
