We keep sending money to the family members who can't even afford the food to eat. whatever you see or hear about Rwanda, it is just the propaganda and few people enjoy it. But the majority of people are suffering to the extend I can't explain to you. The only problem, people are super scared to go in the street to manifest because it is not allowed, and some who tried to speak out, are now in jail, or have disappeared, or are dead. And most of the people who are complaining, they do it in our mother tongue, the world don't understand. One thing I agree Rwanda is doing so well, is the cleanness and order in the city. Anytime I am walking in the street of Kigali, I feel so proud. But my heart sink, the minute I think the oppression the people are living under. That is why I challenge the idea when people see the cleanness as development. It is a good thing, but there are others things we need to look into. Because even in North corea the street are clean.

Honestly, this slum is by far better than the slums I have seen in my own country. Organized and clean without any raw sewage spilling and unlike many slums, I have observed that here the slums are legally connected to the national electricity grid. In most African slums electricity is illegally connected and passes underground for those lucky enough to get the illegal access. These slums are quite habitable, not like slums in Brazil, India, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, SA, and my beautiful country Kenya.

Let's stop calling it slums and call it instead survival habitats or organic villages(no unnecessary trappings). From the slum I've seen in many parts of Kenya, and the very worst of the worst ones in Lagos Nigeria. This slum of Rwanda will be the first class standard of living for the two above mentioned countries slum habitants. These Rwandans are very clean and healthy, and it looks like they have every thing they need. Anyone from any background can eat and sleep and enjoy the company of this beautiful community. The only thing they lack more is the space, more land that can be used to build decent houses, and an open space to grow their food with streets lights of course. Otherwise Rwanda slum is a privilege to other African countries slum. As a SA citizen, I say Rwanda people are very blessed to have a leader and president like Mr Paul Kegama, God Bless You Sir and your People. I know many SAns are very proud of you. I know that Mr president will fulfill the promises of upgrading those people standard of living. THANK YOU VLOGGER FOR SHOWING US HOW OTHER SLUM LOOKS LIKE. Please go deeper in Africa and show us more. The Africans will stop hiding behind SA and they have so many problems that they must correct and work on them. This video gives me a humbling experience which I need right now to stay in touch with humanity. I send Love to you and others that make these videos of our Mother land Africa. Peace.

Although it is called a slum but it still looked clean, cleaner than some cities in Nigeria. I am being truthful here. And if you think otherwise, then place this slum side by side with the slum in Lagos, Nigeria and then make your comparisons in terms of cleanliness to prove me wrong.

I'm from England and have been taking more notice of Rwanda since our scum government has decided to send asylum seekers there. So far it seems that Rwanda is a far nicer cleaner country with a respectful clean welcoming population. Even one of the 'slums' I've just seen is cleaner and safer than a lot of places in the uk. And it seems Rwanda has a real human being running the country not a monster like the uk has at the moment.

I am a rwandan engineer involved in the project Rwanda urban Development Project meant to upgrade informal settlements in Kigali. presently the Bannyahe residents are being shifted to Busanze estate, the compensation in Kind system. and the real name is Kangondo- Kibiraro. Bannyahe meaning (where do they shit) is a name given to the area, since people literally wondered where the people were shitting since it is in a swamp, and digging a pit latrine just 1m, you encountered the swampy high water table.
