I LOVE Rwanda and the Rwandan people! I was there in 2019, lived just opposite the Convention Centre in Kigali and it was absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for the awesome video. What touched me most while I was there is how Rwandans managed to pick themselves up from the atrocities of the genocide and how resilient they have become. Rwanda is an example for the whole world!

As a fellow introvert I recognize myself in the way you interact with people. Introverts tend to assume that we are bothering people when we talk to them because we usually don’t look forward to conversations with strangers and we assume other people are the same way.

I'm strongly considering visiting Rwanda. What sold me was the fact that even the 'street food' vendors wore gloves. That is VERY important to me. The only other place I saw such sanitary and cleanliness for street food was in Peru. Anywhere else, nah I don't even attempt to purchase.

GDP of Rwanda is currently around 1000 $ and they are selling cocktail for 10....so 2 coctails equal 1 week's salary driveway with holes and stone to keep doors open,trashy tables,benches made of concrete with no wood on top.... typical trendy set up with some rotten motorcycles and rasta decoration did you hear that woman talking how she needs to save to go watch gorillas ? probably they charge you thousands i thought Nigeria is bad but this is much worse
@dsn1078
@dsn1078 Жыл бұрын
@@danieleverywhere132 Of course she needs to save, it costs 1500$ to visit gorillas. The difference is, those 1500$ got straight to the community and local villages, and not in some politician pockets. And about those prices, he went to a restaurant obviously catered to tourists, so of course it would be expensive. If you go to local cafes and restaurants it is much cheaper. And I lived in Nigeria, but I can tell you that Rwanda is better, and getting better every day.
@danieleverywhere132
@danieleverywhere132 Жыл бұрын
@@dsn1078 thanks for info but i am still sceptical many times i hear "we keep high prices to minimize impact on environment" which is bull they could just limit number of visitors and keep prices at normal level they just don't want to say bye to heap of money And considering how appauling handling of money has even international red cross why would i believe bunch of guys appointed by politician(gorillas are protected so that is certainly not normal enterpreneurship,you need connections) and catered for tourists-what does that mean ? that quality is better ? sure they had better drinks but that doesn't justify prices on par with tourist place in 1st world country as i said 2 coctails having price tag of week's work is insane and Rwanda getting better well it would be first time in human history that country who has same ruler 20 plus years improve and move toward democracy if you know such ruler please let me know
@dsn1078
@dsn1078 Жыл бұрын
@@danieleverywhere132 The thing is, for gorillas, they apply high pricing AND limit the number of visitors (a dozen per day, if i remember correctly). And when I say catered to tourists, if you have traveled a bit you would have noticed that places for tourists are always more expensive (ex: in Paris, on the Champ Elysees, or Rome in the Centro Storico). These places are often overpriced, for the same quality you would get in a more "local" place ( pizze in Rome, in the Centro Storico are easily double the price of what you would pay elsewhere, because they know tourist are prone to spending money). That's why you only find tourists and expats there, us Rwandans know where else to go, for cheap. Now to answer your last question, Singapore had a dictator from 1954 to 1992, their Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, who is absolutely transformed the country from a gang torn place to an economic powerhouse. He was quite brutal in his methods (with harsh punishments such as public flogging), but it worked. Although, to consider it today as a democracy is a bit difficult, as the same party has been in power since inception, no other party being allowed to be represented.
@dsn1078
@dsn1078 Жыл бұрын
@@danieleverywhere132 Lastly, about tourism in Rwanda, we want to cater more and more to luxury tourism, similar to countries like Qatar or the Maldives. Still a few things missing of course, but we getting there.

😊May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, & the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, & abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) & stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
