What a wonderful contrast from city to countryside. I prefer lush green hillsides to highrise buildings. Interaction with the local community residents makes for a richer experience, but I was a little wary of having someone carrying a machete riding in back of you. I began to feel more at ease when you arrived at the restaurant and engaged in more conversation with the local residents while sharing good tasting food. I realized the chef or chief cook is a good person with good intentions. The three young people at the restaurant encouraged me with their friendliness and openess with no apparent desire to take advantage of visitors new to the area. They seem to have an innocence and hope that too many of our youth in the U.S.A. have lost or had taken away from them. Thank you Ludo for sharing this vlog.

in that bamboo wilderness, when the chef got on your bike with that knife and you know he liked your bike and wanted for a ride by himself,I was somehow worried about what might happen, could be just like in movies..what if he stab you from behind and took your bike....but I also know its only 30% likely lol. Still you need to be more careful..stay safe and bring us more stories

You have the right people skills for these videos. I have also travelled parts of the world but when I am in a new place with new people and new culture, I am a little guarded. When those guys approached you on your bike I would have become anxious when they started standing around the bike, even though I/we know most people are good people.

What a country! Your video has certainly brought that country into positive global focus. 'Removed' illegal migrants from U.K. seem to have nothing to worry about. Also I loved the way the Skol lorry driver @34.00 took exception to the cyclist getting a free tow. First he swerves, then actually stops on the road. Rwanda is such a nice place. I'm so glad their dark history is far behind them now. I'm also very sure that back in Nigeria, Ludo wouldn't comfortably pick up someone in the country side or even in an urban center who has a knife in his/her hands even if there's a proof they'd just finished cutting few bamboos or firewood for a living.🤣🤣🤣

In Rwanda we have history with machetes because It was used as the main killing tool in 1994 Genocide so one one can use it as to scare people and in Rwandan culture we say The Visitor is treated as a King. This is why Rwanda so far I can say is the safest country to travel in

Bonjour!!! WOW!!! Rwanda 🇷🇼 is more modern over 30 years ago. I really surprised about Rwanda 🇷🇼 situation. Over 30 years ago, everything were so ruin by nasty environmental. Today, it’s very modern country. Kigali is modern city, too!!! I feel like to visit Rwanda 🇷🇼. As you know, Rwanda 🇷🇼 are sponsor of English soccer/football organization. Hola Ludo! So, what do you think of Kigali's new modern center (mostly built and funded by the Chinese)? And another thing, at least in the downtown area it's clean, isn't it? In Sabbatical's video, the center looked very clean. A bit different from Lagos, right? As you have noticed, Rwanda is a hilly country. The scenery must be magnificent for sure. One more question, what bike do you ride in Rwanda? I doubt you didn't order air freight for your q-link lol. Btw, how did you chose to go to visit Rwanda? Here in Gran Canaria everything's fine. To tell you the truth about my choice, the price of the ticket i found really helped me a lot to make this choice, i had a very good price from lagos !
